if the hughton deal falls through, i'd like mike bassett to return. maybe then we can return to the glory days of the mr clutch cup win*... *sorry to bang on about history
Obviously I know who Clifford Chance is - do you know Pierre George Roy - used to work on your M&A stuff in the US? I really didn't mean to offend you but, with respect we weren't saying the same thing at all. Do you practice in Contract Law be it M&A, corporate, employment etc? Anyway, although we got off on a bad start, nice to meet you. Hoefully, given our share backgrounds, we can find much in common and move on....
IP address check all clear, definitely a newbie but with a very large chip! If you want to be accepted on here Davrid, you are allowed your own opinion, but you must accept that others have an equal right to their own opinion! Here's hoping for better!
Look. We're usually pretty welcoming on here, but the thing is we're pretty sick of the doomsayers from the pink'un and the copious WUMs from QPR and Ipswich. We're pleased to have a new poster and please do continue, but less of the extraordinary negativity. Yeah, I was explaining CC to the others mate. With all due respect, if you read my post you will see I was merely explaining in the simplest terms almost precisely what you were saying, inasmuch as we both accepted we just didn't know- no offence taken from me. I don't know Pierre George Roy, no, but I have heard of him. I'm in Real Estate. I'm afraid I've got to go now, but glad we can move on.
Contract law is easy. Anyway, just because you and your son have qualified as lawyers it doesn't make you any better! All lawyers are dicks (I include myself in that). Oh and you and your sons qualifications/career does not and should not make any difference. I study in Cambridge and I know a dog called Steve but that's irrelevant
I hope so. However, it appears that if you don't agree with certain people, you are labelled 'an idiot'. To everyone, if I've upset anyone, then my apologies but not my intention at all. I've been a Norwich fan all my life. So hopefully, I can add some value to different topics. Looking forward to at least trying to!
You must agree that if you have an opinion that you're sure of, if someone holds the opposite view, you think to yourself, "idiot" or "tosser" well some of those among us, instead of thinking to themselves, share it with us! It's not meant offensively, and as soon as it's said it's forgotten!
Keele is far from a bad uni, I'm told the maths department is very good, and I'd expect most departments to be up to a similar standard. Clearly Davrid hasn't had the easiest welcome, but I think responsibility for that has to come from both sides. Can we just draw a line under it and go back to talking about football?
Don't want to get involved in another argument which has no relevance but Contract Law is easy? Ok, I am mid-way through structuring the acquisition of a £7 billion investment by a Luxembourg based trust fund with the intent to base operations in Costa Rica, with the company likely to be dual registered Jersey and The Bahamas. Would appreciate any insight you can add over the recommended legal operating structure to mitigate corporate tax and CGT on equity transfer. And not being facetious! Help would really be appreciated!
I don't think we all work that hard, it is 11:00 on a Wednesday but most seem to have our mind firmly away from working
dragging this all back to this hughton bloke... i've learnt something today: chris hughton was the man to bring the universally applauded chief scout graham carr to newcastle. this guy knows what he is doing
Perhaps...it's been a long time since I checked a ucas handbook...think it was well know for its joint honors courses back in the day.
You really aren't succeeding in endearing yourself on this board. STOP THE LEGAL BOLLOXS NOW. RISE ABOVE THE JOKES OR AT LEAST TRY AND HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR
Actually, I recommended he went to Keele -it has one of the UK's best legal research teams especially around negligence. He wanted to follow the route of my old place of Imperial (I did Christleton for a while too) but Law Schools like all unis have specialty faculties with Keele's negligence and jurisprudence, the latter especially re subjugation of UK Law by EU law. Anyway, end of legal crap!
