How can you drop a track the drivers absolutely love?

    Edit: Just remembered, it's Bernie.

Well it now looks as if one of the planned races, may not take place. Yes, this is Bernie doubting it, but he has said that the New Jersey organisers have missed deadlines with the contract.

It is unknown to many, including car lovers. The circuit of Terramar is the second oldest in Europe after Brooklands, ahead even to the legendary Le Mans, and the first in Spain. In this unique environment that still keeps the greatness it once had, two of the best riders of the moment, Carlos Sainz and Miguel Molina, tested their skills as drivers. The challenge: to overcome the rigors of the old track at the wheel of one of the fastest cars of the time (Audi R8 LSM).

    Circuit layout (maybe):

and finally, Sauber's blown diffuser becomes to much to hide.

According to AMuS, Sauber and Williams were the fastest cars in Barcelona. This is supported by Hulkenburg's comment: "According to our measurements, Williams and Sauber were the fastest cars in Barcelona. They must now be counted among the top teams. We have definitely improved, especially in traction, but in the fast corners Sauber and Williams are better than us".

Marc Gene says Alonso is better than Schumacher, Raikkonen, Villeneuve and all the other drivers that Gene and competed against and worked with.

Anyone else think that Mexican circuit looks like they've taken the final sector and first corner of Monza, and stuck a chicane in the Parabolica?

I was then about to say the same thing about the last corner. I'd prefer it if they took the chicane out of the "Parabolica", I know it's hard to tell from these overhead shots but it looks a lot longer than Monza's parabolica, I bet it would be an insane corner if they raced it.

It's a sketchy video but I think its reasonably tight (relatively)

The video is of the track minus the corners around stands 13-20

Just watched Cobra Ferrari Wars on iPlayer, for some reason they've taken it off already, but it's definitely worth a watch if you can find a stream or torrent somewhere.

WARNING: Contains scenes of car management that some viewers may find contrived.

    Circuits seek bigger say

Circuits on the Formula 1 calendar have joined forces in an effort to have a bigger say in negotiations surrounding the future of the sport.

The union, which will be known as the Formula One Promoters Association (FOPA), aims to provide a united front during contract talks, in a similar fashion to how FOTA represents the teams.

Silverstone has become the latest circuit to join FOPA and, with the future of the British Grand Prix secure, are hoping the new organisation will mean the circuits are able to have a say in how their races are run.

"We have historically lacked a co-ordinated voice and the Formula One Promoters Association gives us the opportunity to have that," Silverstone chairman Neil England told The Independent.

"There are a number of matters of common interest and I think it is important that those are voiced."

Chairman of the Australian Grand Prix, Ron Walker, will chair FOPA and he added that he hopes the circuits can "use the association to lodge their proxies to vote major issues affecting the sport."

This would work really well were there not plans to put the Bahraini royal family on the ruling board of F1.

EDIT: And it depends on who they let in, for instance, if they refused Spa entry then Spa would be up a creek without a GP.
