Well yeh but I mean he could command that wage in todays inflated market. Hes also worth that to United.
Valencia is more consistent than he is. You always know what you're going to get from Valencia, but when Nani is having a good game he's more dangerous than Valencia on a great game. Part of Nani's inconsistency may be the fact he constantly plays in a different position, but I'd like to see him given more a free role this season. I think if he is given more freedom to roam about and exploit spaces with Rooney and Welbeck push a bit further up, he'd be extremely dangerous and not too limited to stick to one side of the field.
I have been saying this for the past two years, Nani needs the freedom to roam into spaces and creat havoc, unfortunately we do not have a strong enough midfield to allow this at the moment.
Nani doesnt even get in the team if everyone's fit. Valencia is far more productive and he gets back and defends.* Nani is a maverick, he's very good on a good day, but he never plays well for a full season. The last 2 seasons he's started on fire, and then his form gradually declined as the season wore on. * I do rate him, there's no doubt he's talented, but he's not worth the top money, as he's to inconsistent*
Nani is one of your best players and, I honestly think, in form, he's one of the very best in the league. He makes things happen. Quite a big loss if he goes anywhere.
Latest comments from Nani: Nani went on to talk about his situation at United, admitting that he is not satisfied with his bit-part role this season, but stressing that he still has many plans for himself at the club. "Like any footballer, I want to play more minutes but I understand and accept what the coach chooses," he added. "Not all of us can play, and it is a great success for any player to be at Manchester United. "I have always said it and I do not regret it: my aim is to be the best in the world and playing at a club like United, I can achieve it. "This season, I experienced a different and strange sensation because we did not win anything at the club. "The last few minutes of the last game were especially frustrating with the news that came in from City. "I do not see the Euros as a chance to prove what I can do for United. And even less so because Ferguson knows me perfectly - and that is why I am at United. "Recognition for Portugal has nothing to do with Manchester United. "My future? I have a contract with Manchester United and I am relaxed."
