No smoke without fire regards Taiwo not staying I'm afraid.

I still don't remember an option being touted about on Taiwo as it was for Diakite so we're back to square one (with an added selling point of the rapport he built up with the fans and club).

All these left backs linked are surely an attempt to hedge our bets at best or resignation to not being in the running at worst.

I still think that all these LBs that we're rumoured to be going for must be damaging Traore's confidence but I guess he's not solid enough for a MH defense presently and the use of him as a winger against City might be the shape of things to come.

One thing's for sure about Traore and that is he can certainly cross a ball as Mackie will testify...

Got it in one. I like Traore a lot, but going forward, not defensively. He had a couple of very good performances last season (Arsenal away v Walcott for example), but has a tendency to lose concentration. If he fixes this will be an excellent LB, he has pace to burn, but not solid enough for Sparky I reckon.

Dead right Sooper. HH will too - remember that beauty at Stoke? Was goal of the season for me.

Traore don't need to be worried, we need him as an attacking LB option, or on the left side of midfield. But we need good solid cover at LB, Taiwo or someone at least as solid defensively.

Agree Oslo. Need solid LB. Traore needs to be put onto the wing - attacking defences and getting the ball into our forwards.
More ball in the box - more attempts - more goals. Simples!!

Stick him on the left wing; can cross, and is better defensively than Taraabt. Will be a horrid crosser for defenders, beautiful for strikers; Zamora, HH, Mackie, even Cisse..!
