£2m + add ons offer for Mariappa. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9740991.Reading_make___2m_Mapps_move/ Given his contract situation, I think we'll settle for something not much more than that.
i'd be disappointed if we only got £2m...even with addons. As for Loach, he will leave this summer, i'm certain. Who will come in, that's the big question!
There is a good piece on the official site from big Nos. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/Features1/0,,10400~2794801,00.html I hope that Kuszczak feels the same about his time at Watford and wants to come back.
Steve Palmer has left the club. He was the recruitment manager for the academy and has been given a post in the premier league. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/AcademyNews/0,,10400~2797909,00.html
oh dear...why does that feel like he's working for the enemy in that role! Good luck to him though, i'm sure he'll do well
He is not working for another club which is a bonus for us, but in six months how much influence will he have made.
Sad that Palmer is leaving. But letting someone design our academy performance management system, before allowing him to go off to design the EPPP's own one with our best wishes, could prove to be a masterstroke on our part.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...o-Robinson-a-target-for-Wigan-and-Fulham.html Just shows that some players can shine when they move.
The only thing that confirms is that Wigan and Fulham have no interest in signing Theo Robinson. But yes, he's definitely one that got away.
Is this news or non-news? Not sure! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9748985.August_11_opposition_still_unconfirmed/
It would be good if the League Cup starts before the league season gets underway. Being the first game of the season would help ticket sales. And psychologically it's better to give players who are borderline first team players the chance to impress before they know what the manager's preferred eleven is.
It used to be the case that the first round would be played before the start of the league season and that's when the first couple of rounds were 2 legs. Then there were also replays if the tie finished level on aggregate.
It looks as if Affleck was right over the AM situation with Reading. I wonder just what we have offered McGinn? http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9749746.Mariappa_and_McGinn_latest/
If McGinn doesn't sign i'll be mega peeved. Another MK situation...paying them through injury and then watching as some other team benefits?? Not good news at all. Hmmpfh!
