This, there are a few very good players in Celtic's team, and maybe 1 or 2 in Rangers but they've obviously been weakened. The SPL has decreased in the last few years though, in the 90's/early 2000's there were some really great players, like Laudrup, Gascoigne, Larsson etc

Unfortunately, the cost of those players is what has the SPL in such a mess today. Celtic had to spend to match Rangers after Souness arrived at Ibrox and Rangers had to spend to catch Celtic when O'Neill arrived at Parkhead. The rest of the SPL are also-rans and now we know how Rangers were funding this madness...

Yep, Rangers spent more than they could in David Murray's power mad bid for success, and this is now their downfall. 'For every fiver Celtic spend, we'll spend 10'.

I once spent 2 weeks in Ireland in august and I never saw the sun once, literally. It was dull, grey and gloomy the entire time I was there.

I know I wanted the club to aim high but filling the team full of basketballers was not what I had in mind.

Forster was fantastic for us in league 1. In particular his shot stopping was fantastic and many fans wanted him to join us on a permanent basis. However his kicking is shocking and does not seem to of improved much since he left, he is reasonably good at commanding his area and taking crosses. Really imo he would be a decent signing but maybe needs another year or 2 to develop into a good prem keeper. If you signed him I don't think he is good enough to walk straight into the team (although this would depend on your other options). I'm sure he will be a good prem keeper but may need a bit more time, worth the risk if you can get him on the cheap.
