Attacking mid/winger. Right footed. Really jealous, great signing for you, great player, great work ethic, fills a weak position, good fee... And he'll reel in the Asian fans.
I assume he'll be deployed through the middle then, as we already have Nani and Valencia for the right wing position*
Up until you signed him this is what most ManU fans would have said. However now you've signed him most will tell you that they've followed his career since he was in nappies. You'll even get some that will say he''' play behind the striker which he won't.
First linked in 2010 by a Japanese newspaper prior to his move to Dortmund. Thought nothing of it, no idea who he was. Kept hearing his name. Then he steps in and out performs Goetez last season and implants his name and role onto football fans minds. All I and most United fans know is hes a creative midfield attacker who likes to score goals. He plays centrally just off the striker. Hes here to replace Berbatov ( as in Berbatovs real role as a first team player not what he became ). Really exciting signing.
I was buzzing when i saw the story on the mirror home page only to notice that straight under it it says subject to medical and work permit(which i believe we've been having problems with) so in reality we've not even almost signed him lmao
Worki Permit problems? Are you saying someone who has worked in Germany in the highest profile job possible and has played every game bar ones he missed through injury for Japan wont get a work permit. Manucho got one and hed hardly ever played a game, Hernandez got one and again, he hadnt met the criteria. Kagawa will have no problem.
I think he does the Modric role. or silva? If that's the case that will do me. Great signing We have seriously missed that last season.
Work Permit??? He has worked in Germany and is a japan international. so no problem (he is hardly going to burden our social security is he? )
He does the Silva role. I would say hes better, at least he was in the German League last season but different leagues are hard to judge. Silva had the benefit of playing in a billion pound team, Dortmunds cost about £80million.
Reported in yesterday's press that he does no meet the criteria for a work permit. However they then went on too say that this won't be a problem as he will be a guaranteed first them player.
Due to missing the 2010 world cup through injury he only played 73% of Japans games. Now United can request that the WP panel grants him one on the condition he would of played those games had he been fit or they can request he be granted a WP on the basis he will be a first team player. The other option is wait til July 1st and apply then or around that date. On July first without even kicking a ball for japan Kagawa will of played the required level of games ( 75% ).
Right now yes, Hazard coul and maybe should become better in time but right now Kagawa is the better of the 2. Shoudlnt be too surprised as hes 2 years older and spent the last 2 years in a tougher league winning everything in Germany.
Didn't say he would not getaway WP, just repeating what the press said yesterday. I actually think its a good signing.
I know just posting a few options open to United. If Manucho got a WP though then Kagawa will have no problem.
