but of course he did dive to the floor to get someone sent off against arsenal when playing for newcastle. hardly a model pro, i'm sure you'll agree
you're an idiot. why don't you go up to someone in the street and try to headbutt them. see if they feel aggrieved honestly, the only thing qpr fans should be debating is why the hell their club haven't sacked the guy yet.
I don't see how a solitary living soul - football fan or not can be so misguided as to even try to condone the behaviour of one of the biggest thugs ever to be involved in the 'beautiful' game If his sports teacher had steered him towards, say, kickboxing or similar, that would have been a different story, but football He should have his career ended by the PFA and never work in any capacity in football ever again
I'm not condoning his behaviour. I don't want him to play for QPR again. I think he's a thug and a twat. I'm just saying 12 games is harsh for the Man City incidents. If it's combined with his history, then 12 games is soft, But the fracas at the Etihad wasn't worth 12 games.
I bet you wouldn't be saying that if Bolton hadn't been robbed on the last day if the season and you'd have gone down thanks to this little prick getting himself needlessly sent off in the biggest game your club has had for years and years. As it happened you lucked out and we're stuck with you lot for another season. What joy
when i saw what he did at the etihad, i said he'd get at least a 10 game ban for it. he brought the game into disrepute and to be honest, he probably should have got a longer ban for what he did that day and his ludicrous statements on twitter, where he decided to try and shift blame onto his own team mates. what a throughly unpleasant **** (i don't like the word, but it was invented for joey barton) he is queen's park rangers football club and their fans are worth a million times more than that moron. sack him - you'll come out of it all a better club and be respected.
The same as if he was your player. I cannot understand why so many norwich fans are interested in Joey barton when their club is in 'Meltdown'? Surely you must have something else to talk about? Like that your club has lost it's manager or losing your top scorer or maybe that the CEO does not care about the fans or that you are not getting in any decent players and face a relegation dog fight? However if talking about Joey covers up the cracks then carry on.
meltdown??? i'm guessing you're a sun reader... i think you'll find its not just norwich fans talking about joey barton is it - everyone in football is talking about him and that's the problem, this is probably what he wants, such is the ego of the man. absolutely no way he can be defended over his actions, no way at all, regardless of who he plays for.
Because he is bringing the game, which we all love, regardless of the club we support, into disrepute.
Ellers, you could not be talking more crap about Norwich. The manager situation is being sorted, a problem like with Holt happens in every club, McNally has shown that he does care and it's too early to bring in players. Meltdown? I hardly think so. I think we are in a far better position than QPR.
Where does all this "meltdown" **** come from? Of course we're disappointed to lose our manager, but he's left us in a stronger situation than he found us in, we have a CEO that is brilliant for the club, who will find us an ideal replacement, we have funds to improve our squad, and why should we worry about losing a striker who, according to other club's fans is a useless fat cheat? We are all excited here, looking forward to the next level in our journey! No meltdown, just sublime expectation!
The same place i said that Lambert was unhappy due to transfer money and he was offski and that Grant Holt wanted out. Then funny enough, you came on here and mocked me and said the same #### then. As i said your club is in 'Meltdown' so enjoy.
what you're forgetting though dave, is that qpr fans believe that you have to spend bundles of cash on players to do well. our policy of having a relatively low wage cap means that we are doomed to fail, just like last season personally, i think if we were to get hughton, things would carry on pretty much as if nothing has happened. i think the holt situation is unfortunate but could be rectified if the player is willing to lower his demands/be patient for a contract extension. however, if holt is after more money than the club can afford he should leave. if we get £5-6m for him, that'll be a decent deal for a 31 year old and give us more ammunition for a replacement. hardly in meltdown... i'm excited by a new dawn, a new era
but you're wrong. lambert never said he was unhappy with the transfer funds at the club. in fact, most pundits expect we have more to spend than villa do. he was frustrated by the wage cap, not the funds in place which are very competitive and always have been. we have a wage cap in place so that we don't live beyond our means - that is sensible and we are all grateful that we aren't about to become the next car crash of a football club. the wage cap is also likely to be the reason holt's agent (who is driving this issue) is unhappy. even he firmly stated that holt has never wanted to leave the club. so there is no meltdown at all - that's the sort of thing the sun would have you believe. we're all pretty calm and understanding of the situation
We are so much in melt down the mass exodus has started with 3 players renewing their contract. Our club is doing fine and has a bright future.
