At least Barton was an honest player and didn't go down as if he was shot when Tevez punched him. How would you feel if someone punched you, you punched them back, you get punished but they don't. You're gonna be angry. I'm not condoning his actions but how Barton gets 12 games for that and Tevez gets off scot free is shocking.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think this might be the single biggest piece of bullshit I've ever read on this forum.

Congatulations mate, that's some achievement <ok>

<doh> It was Barton's retaliation more than anything. He just lost it. Barton is not an honest player. Just look at what he did last season with Gervinho when playing for Newcastle.

But then he was arrested for affray, and released on bail.

Not the innocent victim after all, perhaps

I would, obviously it was a sending off but 12 matches is ridiculously harsh, how they decided to treat it as 3 separate incidents despite it all happening at the same time is mind-boggling.

Anyway, I don't sit back and take the moral high ground when I can easily relate to his actions <ok>

Is that comment serious or a wind up?

It was three incidents, there were three acts of violence on three different people. And on three occasions he broke the rules.

You should read what you wrote and think about it.

Yes but it was all part of one incident, and he shouldn't have been charged with the 'headbutt' v Kompany

So if a gunman burst into a bank and shot three people dead would he be charged with just the one murder as they were all "part of one incident"?
    Muppet <doh>

I'd have banned him for twenty matches personally, no room in the game with all the available riches and trappings for scum like that as far as I'm concerned <ok>

One incident which had three actions that were violent conduct.

Like Sid said if someone shot three people would you treat that as one incident?

OK then, saying they were different incidents, he shouldn't have been charged for the Kompany one and if he hadn't been wrongly sent off v you he would only have got a 3 match ban originally, so that's a 7 match ban, which is what I thought would've been fair at the time, after all, no one was even injured ffs

Well he went to headbutt Kompany whether contact or not there was malice. He clearly went in there with intention to headbutt him.

Doesn't matter if someone was injured or not. It was violent conduct and violent behaviour.

He was violent towards Bradley Johnson which is why that was a red card to.

What he done to Bradley Johnson was disgraceful.<whistle>

You are definitely having a laugh now - or failing miserably to try and wind people up with your moronic comments... <doh>

I mean, Cantona didn't injure the guy in the crowd he attempted to kung fu kick - didn't stop him from getting a nine month ban!

The sort of thing these two clowns would be saying to one another if still in charge.

Briartore: Why a ban he didn't injure anybody?

Ecclestone:Can you give me a quick lift I can't see

How can you say he shouldn't be charged for the attempted headbutt? If someone shot at someone else but missed they would be charged with attempted murder. They wouldn't just say 'oh you missed so we will let you free.' <doh>

I find it strange that a reasonable number of QPR fans are unable to see the reality of this man's total lack of any decent qualities regarding his persona! they don't appear to understand that an attempted head-butt is just as serious as a genuine head-butt!

Listen, I think Barton's a twat, but I still think 12 games is harsh. So what if there was malice, he didn't touch him. If someone goes into a tackle with malice but completely misses everyone, is it still a red card? I'm not disagreeing with the red card, that was deserved. that's 3 games. an extra 4 for the Aguero incident. that's 7. An extra game because it's his second red of the season. that's 8. 8 games would have been fair

I'm sorry but you'll never convince me! Seeing his antics both on and off field including his arrest in Liverpool over the weekend, I wouldn't be disappointed if he received a life-time ban! Let's be honest, he's not even a particularly good footballer!
