Surely it was a public order service not a public order offence!

Although I dont support such behaviour from anyone, I find it hard to sympathise with Barton here, in fact he deserved it. Don't dish it it if you can't take it. What goes around comes around. Perhaps he will learn from this and become an adult... The joke is, these people have done far less to him than he has to others and yet they could go to jail, while joey just gets a slap on the wrist by the FA. Sorry can't sympathise here, I don't wish it upon him but I certainly don't care that it happened to him.

Do you want to know something thats even more hilarious? I know the club trade very well including Liverpool and Garlands always had a reputation as a gay club up in Liverpool.

Yeah back when Sunday nights were almost a no no in Norwich we used to end up in The Loft.

Fantastic times never any trouble LOADS of banter hilarious stuff. Mate once said to me what would happen if someone tried to pull you? Used to say I'd be pretty chuffed actually but politely turn them dowen . Anyway I'm never smart enough to look gay ;o)

Considering all that he did against Man. C. and taking into account all his previous, I'd say a 12 match ban is a very light slap on the wrist!

He's just a horrible person! No redeeming qualities whatsoever!

...and whacking Tevez and attempting a headbutt and refusing to get off the pitch and having a rant on twitter.

Tevez threw a massive punch at Barton, Barton gives Tevez a light touch. Barton gets sent off. Then Barton gives Aguero a light touch and doesn't even make contact with Kompany. Hardly sounds like it's worth 12 matches.
