In all fairness the results are not bad ...over turnover 61% Something must be working! I cant imagine any of our neighbours having such a increase in turnover. Yes ok ã7 Mill in the red ... but just remember Rome was not built in a day lads / ladies! In Cortese I trust!
DTLW ... Just be more aware of topic of discussion, as both Beddy & I are trying to discourage multiple threads on the same subject. I appricate you want to share your views , but lets stick to one thread per subject please.
Why? We(sorry Southampton , you aren't a fan) are a private company and what's there to explain? We made big investment into the side during that period and have spent money getting the planning permission for the training ground and by improving contracts of big players and on St Marys. Why you show a concern is beyond me.
Turnover up 61 % cannot be bad at all........ Most of the expenditure went on players at a guess. Still they had a good idea as to what it was going to cost to put Saints back into the Premier. At least turnover going up is better than turnover down.........
Just saying for the fans of your club, they should just give a brief run down on why you have lost such a substancial amount of money.
Exactly - we're in a recession for goodness sake. We're a stable club and should be delighted about that.
Yeah mate, You are still stable but other clubs around you didn't make as big lose but you do have a big budget and you are just starting to rebuild after the debt you had before.
But we already know what we spent it on , and as a Private Limited Company - no statement is necessary.
Not pleased, but now not too over-worried. Now if I owed 7.7 million......! Pleased that the Leibherrs reiterated ther support for the club...that's what we all wanted to hear.
see the new lick arse is back on, player wages would have gone up from last season, releasing pardew cant of cost nothing, we've brought new players and a new manager and staplewood is happening. nothing to worry about in my eyes
As the accounts are up to June 2010, Pardews pay-off will be in the next years figures. We'll have more income to offset it by then.
What people are forgetting is that apart from the initial purchase........any money put into the club will be known as directors loans. This is done to give the club cash flow and to allow things to get underway after the purchase. The only creditors is the directors/owners as all others are paid in a usual way by monthly accounts. Some of our friends from down the road are trying on 606 to make headway out of this. Our lot as usual are falling for it. It seems our friend and yours DTLW is joining forces with Mr Pompey and co over this..........
Sorry but I don't agree. The money has been spent but not all on the team. We are spending on a wide front and I am glad to see that there seems no money problems now or in near future. Not thaty I expected there to be any. We have all been told that there are a lot of areas being improved by the club so it isn't as big as it could have been.
BeddyTare, I am not joining forces with Pompey fans on this at all. Read my article, I am pointing out why anyone saying such things are WRONG. I thought you are meant to be a moderator and not a gossip rag? Take it up with me in private not in public on these boards.
I go along with that. If we had a problem we would not still be bringing in players as we are or improving the club's structure in the way we are.
