We have already bagged 7m for Brendan & Co and it looks like we'll save 7m if Siggy doesn't join. Add that to the reported 10m we will get from Liverpool for Joe Allen and that means we'll have a cool 24m to spend.

So what players would you get it? Would you spend it all on players or keep some for the academy or expanding the stadium?

Casual, why start another thread with the same statement you've just done on the "Not Brendan & Sigg thread"

Different topic. the other one has a strange title and people aren't likely to read it. This is more likely to get attention. Therefore a better debate.

Casual you do seem to enjoy putting these posts up that are at best contentious? why include Joe going for 10 Million, is that a fact? don't you think that the club, would move heaven and earth to keep him? you do seem to me to be heaping coals on the fire, for those that would accuse you of being a Bluebird, or wum! Not helping your case in the least..................... <ok>

I included Allen because Dai thinks it will happen and it's also in the press. See link below.

I don't think there's anything wrong with contentious posts. They actually help with debate and people actually prefer them, as evidenced by the number of views they get.

I don't really care what the ones who think I'm a Cardiff fan think about me. It's a free country and they can think what they like.

But for those who prefer a non-contentious thread - How would you spend 24m if we had it?

    http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/901077...include-deals-for-joe-allen-and-clint-dempsey

Just would like to add that some might be unhappy with my posts because they are close to the thruth. I got truly slated for suggesting that Brendan would leave and had a whole host of reasons given to me of why he was definitely staying. Some people just can't face reality. I don't know for certain that Allen will leave, but it's starting to look likely, so no point in pretending it won't happen.

I've seen plenty of threads in the past asking what player we'd buy instead of so and so, even though the player concerned is still with us. Posts only seem to be contentious if I post them. If someone else posts the same thing, then it's ok. It was in fact you that started the Brendan leaving thread.

If people are upset by my posts then they don't have to read them. It's simple. There are plenty of other posts to read and comment on, but most are pretty boring, which is why they have low comment and read counts. So I prefer posts that get people commenting. It's the same reason that people read speculation in the press. All very contentious, but they still read them. They could just only read the official website if they're so sensitive.

I just don't see the problem. It's like people complaining about TV programs they don't like. Well don't watch them if you don't like them. Simple.

The press and the fact Dai says are both reasons to believe the opposite. How does Allen going sit with the agreement that none of our players will be going to Liverpool for at least 12 months?

I don't normally knock anyone for posting threads but this is getting tedious.

10 million on state of the art facilities & 14 million on players .... and that 's before the rest of the new season money gets looked at barring the 7 million we were going to spend on Sig . I'm all about buying cheap & selling high so Joe would go , if he really wants to .

If they are annoying why do you bother reading them? Don't you have any self-control. Any you see that are started by me, just skip over them. How can someone get annoyed by a thread? How do you get through life? Much more annoying things out there. Or maybe you like getting annoyed. If that's what turns you on, fine.

Brendan had a 4-year contract and he left. Agreements can be broken. They get broken all the time. You are very naive if you think Liverpool won't get any of our players in the next 12 months. We and Liverpool could agree to let Allen go for the right price. Then everything is fine, as both parties agree to waive the agreement.

This is football and the press will be speculating all summer. Better get used to it, or stop reading the speculation.

I just don't understand why the people who get annoyed and upset by the speculation actually read it. If something annoys me I don't go out and look for more of the same thing. But that's what some on here appear to be doing.

Agree about getting the new facilities, but would they really cost 10m? But it would be a fantastic investment and set us up for years t come. Would also make it easier to attract the right players and managers for the future. And I think 14m is enough for some really decent players. Every player has his price, so if we get an offer that's too good to be true then we should take. But we shouldn't jeopardize our premier league place, as that is worth millions. But we do need to invest in new facilities while we have the cash.

The OP has a point. It's up to him what he speculates on. You're all free to disagree, but claiming this makes him a Cardiff fan is just wrong. Even if he IS, which I heavily doubt, the content of his threads would hardly be compelling evidence of it...

If not that your threads are close to the 'truth' as you put it....its the fact that you post 3 to 4 threads on exactly the same thing so close to each other which is what is pissing people off

But it's speculation, and we are allowed to speculate are we not ? My speculation by the way he is revelling in this whole affair and calling it fun, plus the way he is putting them across as if he is a third party to this just looks like something a Cardiff fan would do it. Now perhaps I should start 20 threads speculating the Casual Fan is a Cardiff fan ?

If you can't see that speculating over a player transfer is different from calling someone a liar and an imposter then I can explain how it differs? Ok, so his wording is sometimes inflammatory but these are, at the end of the day, talking points.

You're free to speculate all the time, but swearing at someone a lot and having a go at them online isn't debate, it's just rude.

Scottswan, if you can't see opening thread after thread is debate about the same subject words fail me, and it's not just me annoyed at it there are others as well ! Being polite has failed because he is still doing it, half the threads on the page have started from him, most of them are the same subject. It's a joke

It is annoying, and I have been keeping an eye on it but what should we do? Have one thread where everything manager related is discussed? Possibly but it's a pain in the ass, and confusing, if all threads keep getting merged and can you honestly say any of the threads warrant deleting? If people don't reply, threads disappear quick enough.

Dilligaf - I know you are and that's again, your call. I disagree but then I also said Rodgers wouldn't be a **** and he'd stay another year, so I could well be wrong. Surely though there isn't enough reason to slag the guy off and trash talk him all the time? (Not saying you do personally, but he's been taking a lot of stick). As I say, if people don't want to respond to his threads ignore them - easy enough really.
