I don't find this funny nor do I feel sorry for him. If this is the incident that sends him out the door then so be it. He's brought enough shame and bad publicity to our club already. More trouble than he's worth.
IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 Joey Barton was involved in an incident in Liverpool City centre in the early hours of Monday morning. IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 Barton was on his way home from a night out with his girlfriend when two men sang offensive chants and then proceeded to hit the midfielder. IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 Police were immediately on the scene and arrested one man. Barton decided not to press charges and left with his girlfriend soon after.
Yes, he may not have started it. But he has previous and will always attract this kind of thing both off and on the pitch. And would those voicing their support of JB be doing so if he were not a QPR player? Ironically, if he could do us all a favour and remove himself from our club I could consider looking on his circumstances more sympathetically.
Yes i would actually 'cos i dont think someone deserves to be attacked and abused when out with his girlfriend. And if he wasn't a QPR player then i would almost certainly never even be aware of the incident. But he is....and i have.
Absolutely this. On this forum somebody would come here and wrote,"he deserved it because what he is", even if someone has stabbed him while walking with his child. Just cant get it.....
This. Cowardly and low to take any kind of pleasure in this. Some people clearly need to grow up and have a look at themselves
This. To me it looks as though he has avoided retaliating or else he probably would have been arresred
Im a great believer in what goes arround comes arround, not for one minute do i think our Joey deserves a smack in the chops, but he does seem to attract attention, better he takes his attractive companion for a nice meal, after all he is getting a bit long in the tooth for a night club.
I hate it when cowards think its great to attack a man out with his girlfriend, especially 2 on 1. I don't drink but go out to the early hours with my mates so that's a non starter. I am not his biggest fan nor do I condone his past and recent actions but this is the behaviour that is plaguing society and those laughing about the incident need to look at themselves in the mirror.
There are far too many morons who think that just because someone has done something wrong it gives them carte blanche to misbehave themselves.
****ing embarrassing thread rejoicing in somebody being attacked. As said by some, it's double standards. On this forum it's wrong for our club captain to react when kicked and punched on a pitch in a high pressure situation with millions of pounds and premiership survival at stake. However go out for a drink with your girlfriend and get punched in the face and it's hilarious. Pathetic......
Hes not doing himself any favours is he, going out clubbing in Liverpool is just asking for it. I bet he shouted at them how much he earned and that set them off. Youd have thought by now hed learn to keep a low profile, hes nearly 30 FFS so why is he out clubbing when all of them are teenagers.
Ranger74,Barton did exactly the same thing to a kid a few years back and that made him fair game to similar minded dickheads with similar intentions,Garlands is a gay club so whether that had anything to do with it will 'come out' later. He's not liked around here and he could have gone anywhere but into town for a night out but he loves being in the limelight and it's backfired on him.
