First Signing of the summer David Ferguson from darlo http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9742531.Darlington_make_six_new_signings/
Don't get so touchy young mr wigham I was referring to the Mr apparently that WE ALL quote every now and then
We hear hundreds of story's about who we are signing and there is dozens of examples where we all say " well apparently we are signing such as such " But the only apparent thing about the statement is the fact that we heard / read it somewhere, there is no other source to the story but because we start with the word "apparently , we tend to believe it more. This is why we should be a little more warey of " Mr Apparently , unless of course he gets one right.

Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 1:20 PM | by Adam Gray With Uruguayan full-back Jorge Fucile unloved at Porto under manager Vitor Pereira, it looks as though he might find the welcoming arms of Sunderland coming to pluck him from the obscurity he finds himself in over in Portugal. After Pereira succeeded Andre-Villas Boas at the Portuguese champions, he duly dropped Fucile and sent him on loan to Santos. Now, with Fucile back, Porto are willing to sell the 27 year old defender and the Daily Mail are suggesting that Sunderland have been sniffing around the situation. With the Mail reporting that Sunderland's Ahmed Elmohamady is in talks with West Ham over a possible loan move, a story confirmed by the Egyptian himself, Black Cat's boss Martin O'Neill will be looking at replacing him with Fucile who can play at both left-back and right-back. Fucile is has 36 caps for Uruguay and has made over 100 appearances for Porto but with Pereira's indifference marginalising the experienced defender, it looks as though the North East could come calling to give him a new home with O'Neill looking to renovate his squad after a dissapointing end to the season. The Mail have also said that another Sunderland player could be joining El Mohamady on the trip down to London to join West Ham in left-back George McCartney who has been on loan with the Hammers this season. The 31 year old will be looking to make his move permanent.
i asked somone on ja606 who watchs alot of football and i trust he said hes really good and plays both left and right back
Aston Villa and Sunderland are showing late interest in Burnley’s Jay Rodriguez as his move to Southampton is yet to be finalised. The Saints are trying to convince him to move to St Mary's after agreeing to smash their transfer record for the Burnley youngster. Saints have had a £7million bid accepted for Rodriguez and chairman Nicola Cortese has been attempting to thrash out personal terms with the 22-year-old striker's representatives.
New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has started to draw up a list of targets he wishes to make moves for this summer. The Anfield manager has been told he will not have a wealth of funds to draw from and with that in mind the Northern Irishman has earmarked moves for players who add quality to his squad without breaking the bank. Rodgers will look to beef up his attacking options having seen Liverpool net just 47 goals in the Premier League last term but without the funds to spend on a ‘big money’ striker the former Swansea City boss has identified Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner as a target. The 24 year old Danish international is currently at the Euro 2012 finals having enjoyed a solid season long loan spell at Sunderland. The 6ft 5in striker is unlikely to return to Arsenal, where he has slipped down the pecking order, and he would surely jump at the chance of a move to Anfield and he would cost around £6-8m to sign as Arsene Wenger reportedly looks to trim his squad ahead of a planned shake-up to the Gunners wage structure. Bendtner netted ten goals last term and could offer a stern challenge for Andy Carroll for the second striker spot alongside Luis Suarez.
Sky Sports understands that a number of English clubs are keeping tabs on the progress of Chad international Hassan Hissein. The 20-year-old striker has emerged as an outstanding talent in African football over the past few seasons and his performances are believed to have attracted attention from Europe. Newcastle, Sunderland and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for Hissein and his agent, Jonathan Hope, is now awaiting an official offer. Hope says that his client would relish the opportunity to play in the Premier League and insists securing the necessary permit would not be a problem. "Whilst out in business in the Congo I have found a player who has caught the attention of Newcastle, Sunderland and Liverpool," Hope said. "Hassan has already had 186 appearances for the first team and scored a whopping 105 goals. "I met with the player and after agreeing a representation contract I will be putting the lad to Europe whilst I await an official offer. "The 20-year-old international is a very special talent and we would have no need to obtain a work permit as he has an EU passport. "He is a full international and he would love the chance to play in England."
if we send wickham and ji on loan and bring this lad in and make it clear to him and the fans he is there to develop and wont be playing much this season.... and dont pay much for him it might be a good signing where did you find that story about bendtner??
Everton looking at Ward for a replacement for Baines..but Sunderland and Stoke have already made their interest known in left-back Ward, but Everton have also asked to be kept up-to-date with *developments. Ward was one of the few highlights of Wolves’ dismal *relegation campaign and was one of only two players, Fulham’s Brede Hangeland being the other, to play every minute of the Premier League season. Having suffered relegation to the Championship, Ward is now *looking forward to a successful Euro 2012 campaign with Republic of Ireland – starting against Croatia in Poznan tonight. “It’s been a long, tough season and a lot of lows at Wolves, but for *myself and the Irish lads it’s great we are in the squad,” said Ward. “There is no better remedy than going out to represent your country at a major championships.
