I believe Buddhists actually claim it to be a philosophy, rather than a religion. I am the worlds least religious person, but I find Buddhism quite interesting, it takes the best parts of religion(respect for others etc) and completely ignores all the other bollocks. Being a regular visitor to the Far East, I've been to several Buddhist monasteries over the past thirty years, I've spent time with monks in the middle of nowhere and I've also spent time doing the tourist **** with fortune telling masters.

I have 'Jade in box', which is, apparently, very good. It means I have an inner something and as a consequence, I'll always have something to fall back on, as I have some inherent ability that I'm not even aware of. Business has turned to ****e recently, so I remain unconvinced, but I find the whole thing quite interesting all the same.

PS - We have a no religion rule on here....

Once again a thread turns from a decent debate to a rubbish debate about religion

I've had the exact same thougt and it's an interesting point. most minorities end up doing exactly what they fighting against. trust me
I'm not homophobic and have discussed this with close homosexual friends of mine men and female.
what I find very odd and contradictory is that homosexual want to be accepted and want to blend in with us, be a normal
part of society... absolutely fine with me.
but why then do they feel the need to distance themselves from us and stand
out with their own flags, their own clubs and festivals their own fashion sense, maneurisms and speech.

that really annoys me, If you want to be treated as equals then act as equals.

not quite the same analogy but it's like women and sexism. Selective equality. women will blast out loud about the equal rights for both sexes but it comes to carrying the suitcases or holding the door they'll happily let us do it.

This has to be the worst thread I have read on here and that's saying something. I feel the end is nigh.

It does beg the question of why you read it? It didn't take long to see where it was going. I felt it was at least a discussion rather than anyone on missionary work, claiming they'd told everyone about it months ago because they know the cleaners cat or just mindless abuse.

Yes, we know where humans came from. Not from African Apes as such, more that apes and humans have a common ancestor. Evolution is a fact.

It doesn't matter where on the globe you where born, even the land isn't where it was thousands of years ago.

It doesn't matter who was left here after the last ice age, we were not an island at this point. We have only been cut off from mainland Europe for the last 10,000 years.

You can't come on here and say you're the least religious person and follow that up with "Jade in a box". Clearly I am the least religious person on here.

    Hope this helps.

Actually, thinking about it, maybe he said 'Jade's in a box', maybe he'd just been reading Hello.
