You obviously don't get it. You asked of an example of a country that had adopted the non promotion of any faith in schools. I gave you that example. I demonstrated that there is still religious intolerance. So I think it is fair to say that I do know that it doesn't work.
You said that taxpayers money does go to private faith schools (in the form of tax breaks) and I'm saying it shouldn't in fact, why should they get any tax breaks? If you can afford to pay for your kids education and wish to, then do so. You have not proven that it doesn't work, how do you know that it wouldn't be worse in France if there were religious schools? Are the French more racist in general? Was it better or worse 100 years ago before they made the change? Far too long a timeframe in any case.
Yeh, cos you'd know living on a rock in the middle of ****ing no where with a population of smack heads...
I said that ALL private schools are eligible for charitable tax status. I made the point to illustrate that the taxpayer loses out by these schools availing of these breaks, therefore the taxpayer also contributes to the segregation of people based on wealth. Should all fee paying schools be closed as well on that basis? So the purpose of eliminating faith schools is to eliminate sectarianism. I demonstrate that in a country where faith schools have been eliminated there is still sectarianism.....proof that it doesn't work. .........evidently not.
That's funny, 'cos when I hover my mouse over it it clearly shows in't little blue bar at the bottom 'Naiomi-huge-giant-dick-cock'. Only an Irish man would be fooled into that trick. Oh and next time, try thinking off something better than 'www.news.net'. Maybe actually putting in URL make up? Jeezus wept.
that wasnt for you theres lots of people on here falling for it ...edit your post with how to find out or forever be known as a rat
Afternoon rebelbhoy, you used the word "eliminate", I used the word "lessen". My wording was not clear, private faith schools and indeed all private schools should not get any state help in my opinion. Although I'm really just repeating my words "If you can afford to pay for your kids education and wish to, then do so". ...........which is why they voted in Sarkozy...
Ok, so there is evidence that it doesn't eliminate sectarianism but non whatsoever that it lessens it. So you can segregate kids along one line, but not another?
I don't know if it's my ability to type or your ability to read... I did say there was no evidence that I knew of for or against my view that it would lessen bigotry. I repeat: "if you're paying for it..."
No. I understood. I just wanted clarity that there was nothing to support your assertion but something to support mine. and I will repeat. You are paying for it.
Here's a simple question for you then. Do you believe that before seperate faith schools were introduced - in Scotland in 1916 - that Sectarianism did not exist? A simple yes or no will suffice.
Tbf, they deserve everything they get for clicking on a link posted by an Irish bloke named 'AswordMadeofHash'.
The Dutch??? Oh yeah, that would be them orange Hollanders - hard core papists that lot - not a prod amongst them
The Netherlands has more Catholics than Protestants now. But are outnumbered by the non-religous. God Bless them.
