Who elects these people as fan leaders ? Is it done in the car park of the Admiral Napier on a windy Wednesday night in November ? Don't mind people having a opion that's fine but wish they would not assume they speak for all Cardiff fans .
This guy says that a 100 years of history would have been wiped out if the club colours and badge were changed , im sure someone can tell me how many times the badge has changed in our history can think of at least 4 diffrent club badges I've seen , have seen us play in blue, black, yellow , red home and away .

Who the hell is this one now?...Fans Leader?...my arse! I've never heard of him.
Sounds to me like he's just another frustrated wannabe shooting his mouth off online...just because he can.

I hope the people in charge don't believe he is speaking for all of us.

Towards the end of the meeting on 8 May, a straw poll of the thirteen fans in attendance was held on the subject of the re-branding.

Who are these faceless morons who think they can speak for me ?

    Epic fail.

Sounds like the last supper. They weren't thinking of changing christianity were they?

As in most scenarios, there will be a few trusted advisors and a few hangers on. I got fed up by the number of times he said 'I', 'me' or 'my'. Sounds like a representative, he represents a grand total of one! Another ego massaging itself. If he were a representative he'd asking questions of fans, not preaching to them. I read his post end to end andc he has some valid points, however it is a monologue. His influence on the situation is zero.

All we can do is opine and wait for the facts to reveal themselves. Hopefully we won't be disappointed.

Looks like yet another self appointed 'fans leader'. Well he doesn't speak for this one who has been a bluebird for fifty years and will be 'til the day I die!

As usual another well written piece by Dave Sugarman.

I dont agree with all of it but its his opinion.

Read the start he said he had the misfortune to be at the meeting. Think he was invited as he runs buses. He certainly doesnt want to be a fans leader.

One thing though he is right on is that this situation has caused a divide and arguments.

If playing in red is the cost of clearing debts and making us financially secure then its a cost worth paying.

    Id rather that than admin.

Quote " the shock news about the re-branding plans came not only as a bolt out of the blue (if you’ll pardon the pun), but also as a huge kick in the teeth.

Being a Bluebirds supporter can often be a depressing experience, but the last month has been just about as soul-destroying as any that I can remember. The tame manner of the play-off capitulation was disappointing enough, but that was nothing by comparison to what followed. The way in which this latest off-field fiasco has been handled by the club and the subsequent reactions of some of its fans has left me feeling extremely bitter and disillusioned. As things stand, I honestly don’t know how much longer I can to continue pouring large amounts of my time, energy and money into an activity that brings so little pleasure and so much frustration.

The fact that the owners and officials were prepared to make radical alterations to Cardiff City’s identity without any consultation with the fanbase speaks volumes about the way in which Bluebirds supporters are regarded by the club’s hierarchy, and the fact that so many fans were prepared to accept and even welcome those changes speaks volumes about the club’s support. The circus that is Cardiff City rolls on, but my dedication to the club has diminished significantly in recent weeks. "

If that's the way he feels we are well rid of him.

I thought it was a good read. I don't necessarily agree with his views but he's entitled to express them. I'm just fed up with all the infighting between the various boards to be honest. We are a broad church with a passionate following.

I thought it was well written and do not agree with some of his comments. He is obviously hacked off with the situation and like us all wants something from the board by way of an update.

I'd like any update to come from the club, not from self obsessed people like Annis, Carl, Gwyn or Dave Sugarman.

They don't speak for me or many more true fans.

The guy seems to have little or no understanding of the facts placed before him. He stated he did not see the reason for re-branding the the club or changing the club colours to red, or the introduction of a dragon on the badge.

This has been pointed out a number of times, the Far East see the colour red as being very lucky, and the dragon is a powerful symbol. This can be very influential in marketing and further investment by outside parties. Manchester United and Liverpool have very good sales of replica shirts in the Far East, where as Manchester City and Chelsea do not. A number of years ago I travelled to Indonesia on a training mission, and the people I met were all interested in Manchester United or the "Red Devils" as they called them.

I have seen the proposed new badge, and although I didn't dislike it, I would have preferred it to have the "Bluebird" on it as well.

This guy does not speak for me.
