Seriously Obsessed and there figures are seriously way out from reality too. Only Gerrard earns more than £70k a week at LFC

Why do I need to have an opinion upon some unknowns opinion of our clubs financial situation?

 

You forget that the cost to the club will included employers NI and bonuses. Besides which, those contracts are the ones that could be excluded from the first monitoring period, so if they're overstated then that just puts LFC in a worse position!

It does of course make the very valid point that City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle may all soon find themselves in the position of needing to break FFP in order to qualify for the CL in the first place. Could be interesting to see who blinks first...

Swarbs, the biggest financial question for LFC does not appear on the pitch. It is the stadium that is the biggest issue.

True, but given that FSG have done nothing more than H&G or anyone else with regards to the stadium, it's probably fair to assume that you'll have to negotiate the first few monitoring periods without the additional matchday revenue. And by the time you have sorted a new stadium out, City, Chelsea and Spurs could also be sitting in 60k plus stadia so it still won't necessarily give you a financial edge, particularly if you aren't back in the CL by then.

He's still one of the best two English CBs. The only reason he hasn't been selected is the fitness issue. You can't take a player, particularly a CB, to a major tournament if they can only play one match every week. Otherwise if Jagielka or Terry gets an injury in the first match, Rio plays the second, then we need someone else to play the third. As Utd showed earlier this season, and City when Kompany was out, a disrupted CB pairing is always going to leak goals and you just can't afford that in a tournament.

You're being a bit naive there Swarbs. Terry being in the squad has definitely played a major part in it.

But maybe you're right and fitness is part of it, seeing as there's not much to choose between him and Terry they decided to go with Terry because he's more reliable and can play a game every 3/4 days unlike Ferdinand.

For me, it is easy to see through and most people do. He chose Terry, meaning no Rio in the squad as a happy squad is an easier squad to coach. If he had JT and Rio in there would be at some point some sort of fireworks. If he met with both of them before making the selection like he said then Rio must have given him enough to know that those two can't be in the same room together. It is a shame.

Then you have Richards and Carrick who I think were pissed by being on stand-by so they said **** it, right? Well those two could have been in the squad instead of the inexperienced Hendo and Kelly who I like, but I don't think are near ready.
