joe allen is to ask swansea to let him go to liverpool. He would cost liverpool around the £8 million mark....here comes the problem we will have now. a gentlemans agreement will not cut it with players and joe wants to go and join brendan at liverpool and is putting in a transfer request as soon as he can...sinclair is pondering a move also not to liverpool but a club in london....vorm is happy at the moment and has the european cup on his mind to worry about anything else.
Thinking of players, does anyone rate Owen Hargreaves for us on a pay as you play contract? He has obvious quality and would easily fit with our football ideals. He had a job getting a job (sorry!!) and might fancy a stint with us, money allowing, of course. Danny Murphy might be a guiding influence in midfield, the wise, experienced head in midfield with Allen and Britton doing the spadework. Of course, if Siggy does decide to come, I would be happy with him.

Joe Allen isnt going to to put his transfer request in for Liverpool as you seem to think (need to check where you are getting your info from!) as I have it from a 100% guaranteed source from high up within the club that an official enquiry has been made from Real Madrid after Mourihno asked Rodgers about him and we are looking to accept a reported £12 million on Friday But to get back to topic I would go for Guthrie (as we are going to need an Allen replacement) Alnwick from spurs as gk backup and Diame from Wigan

sadly no...but I just thought id join in on the 'lets take a player, a club and a random number and put the together for a transfer story' game that appeared to be going on lol, may have to start a poll to see what is more believable Madrid in for Allen @ 12 million or him asking to go to Liverpool and we will get 8 millions ....I may set up an account on vitalswans or another forum though and run the story to see if the theory that journos just look at forums to make up transfer stories is true...see if I can get it in a paper lol

I don't think we could legally stop Allen going to Liverpool, as it could be seen as a restraint of trade. But it wouldn't get to court because we'd let him go. So we'll have 10m for Allen, 7m for Rodgers and still have the 7m we would have spent on Siggy. So surely we can get some good players in for 24 million.
