Gary Cahill has now been ruled out with a fractured jaw and replaced with Martin Kelly, things are looking worse and worse for England.

    Kelly over Ferdinand and Richards?......................
    what the hell?

    answer's on the post card?

Roy might say he's not picking Rio for football reason but i think that's a lie, it must be because of that Terry issue.

If England flop in the euro's and fans blame it on injuries then i won't accept that because well they have experience player's like Richards, Ferdinand and Carrick for cover but the england manager picks inexperience player's over them.

    Typical England.

The downside is that if we somehow won the Euro's Liverpool would claim this as a trophy for their club (a la Spain in 2008).

The other downside is that if we don't do well Liverpool fans will be telling us this proves Hodgson is a rubbish Manager (as if England stand a ****ing chance anyway).

    Gerrard
    Carroll
    Downing
    Henderson
    Kelly
    Johnson

I mean i know that there have been some injuries but what is Hodgeson on? Some weird loyalty towards a club that hated him. At best two of them should be going. Disgrace, while the likes of Rio and Carrick (among others) sit out.

A little more of my faith in Roy dies.

    --------------------Hart--------------------------
    Jones/Richards---Smalling----Ferdinand--------Cole--
    -------------Cleverley------Carrick-------------
    ----------------------Gerrard-----------------
    Young----------Rooney---------------Welbeck

Would actually have a chance of relative success that team and bar 3 players its set for the next 8 years.

Robbed the team off KE07 on redcafe not here.

Just what it should be. Obviously not the team that should always play but a decent option unlike anything Hodgson has chosen.

    I reckon it should be:

    Walker/Richards---Smalling/Jones---Cahill---Cole
    --------------Wilshire---------Barry---------
    ----------------------Gerrard------------------
    Walcott------------------------------------Young
    ----------------------Rooney---------------------

In a couple of years time Chamberlain should take walcott's position.

Aye another decent side. Swap Barry for Cleverly or Carrick as Barry is dire and its good to go.

I personally dont think Cleverly is suited for a holding midfield role and would be better off where you have Gerard playing in the midfield. My opinion anyways.

If players weren't injured, I would of went with the following (backups in brackets):

    -------------Hart
    ------------(Ruddy)
    ---Walker-Jagielka-Lescott-Cole
    -(Richards-Smalling-Cahill-Baines)
    ---------Parker-Carrick
    --------(Jones-Wilshere)
    ----A.Johnson-Rooney-Young
    ---(Sturridge-Gerrard-Sinclair)
    -----------Welbeck
    ------------(Holt)

Of course injuries have hit a few of those players, so I would move Richards up to first choice RB with Johnson as his backup, replace Smalling and Cahill with Ferdinand and Caulker and Wilshere with Barry (would of been Rodwell but he's also injured and there isn't a lot of actual holding midfielders to choose from).

I'd bench him for that game; i'd like to see how some of the younger players get on without him in the team; i'd have him on the bench just in case though
