Probably cos he'd rather get a massive fine and a points deduction than finish in 6th place again. The ultimate FFP sanction is being banned from the CL, and that would only be used after repeated violations. So it still makes more sense to spend massively and risk being kicked out, rather than just missing out due to having a squad that just ain't good enough for top four in the PL And of course FIFA will back them with their usually bully boy tactics. As soon as someone like City or Chelsea tries to challenge FFP in the civil courts, FIFA will simply threaten to ban English clubs and the England team from international competitions. The FA will then force City or Chelsea to back down, just like happened with FC Sion, and is likely to happen with Rangers in the next month or so. In fact, the SFA may now be forced to impose an even harsher punishment for Rangers, for daring to challenge a football decision in court.
Thats how it should be aswell. Clubs shouldnt be allowed to take football matters ( playing in Europe is a football matter not a criminal or civil matter ) just because they have been punished for doing wrong. I have very little respect for FIFA but if they and Uefa stand tall with FFP I will have a little more than I do now. They really could save the game if they have the balls and the power to do so.
Let me see, Oh yes since 1974, I do believe UTD got relegated that year, so I must be a plastic glory hunter.
Uncle is a season ticket holder, would bring me back a match programme, older bro is a UTD fan as well, so I follow suit. Happy now Cockney ****er?
