..of all this Brenden rodgers talk now! I got no problem with the constant guesswork and what if's thats whats its all about on these forums, its the food that it needs to survive but im just getting a little bored of it all ! The way i see it is 1. Brenden proved to be a ruthless customer and told us everything we wanted to hear during his time at the club. 2. The Liverpool job however was one the most loyal of managers could not turn down. 3. Siggy was only going to sign if Rodgers was manager, he indicated this to the club via the press weeks ago, 99% sure he will not sign. 4. We have to accept the unstability this has created puts our survival in real danger. 5. Regardless of what happens the club will remain strong, we are garenteed £90m quid over the next couple of years regardless of prem status. 6. The money will be used wisely and not thrown away, that will be good news in terms of steadily progressing our club off the field. 7. Swansea city and its fans are blessed to have a board of directors who put the club first before anything else. 8. In Huw Jenkins i trust RE the appointment of a new manager. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT THE FUTURE IS BLACK AND WHITE The journey the club is on is a fantastic one and will continue to be so, regardless of what this season brings, remember we were origionally happy to become a yoyo club and selling off playing assets was always going to be a part of that, its perhaps easy for us to forget some of thease things , i understand the frustration of the fans, i feel it myself but the overall big picture is that the club is going to be financially secure for many years to come and is still very progressive in its unique apraoch to playing continential style football. I feel the pain of my fellow posters, its been a hard week but for me im over it and i think most of the Jack army feels the same, that in its self is quite unbeleivable considering this recent blow! Remember the cold tuesday nights at the vetch,2,500 people against the like of teams that dont even exist nowadays !! thats how far we have come and when you think about it like that we are still living in dreamland compared to 80% of other football clubs !! Respect to all my 606 posters, very proud to hear great comments and constructive viewpoints, but i myself am becoming a bit frazzled by it all !! STID
I be glad when we know the full extent of the damage being done so when we get a new manager hopefully next week we know what needs be done to rebuild and strengthen making the team fighting fit going into the new season .
Good article Norway. I agree 100% on the your 1 through 8. 2,500 at the Vetch on a cold Tuesday ... were there really that many there when the cold of the cement was coming through the soles of our shoes.
Excellent post Norway. Glad to read something positive for a change instead of all the over-emotional schoolgirl type of rants. I don't understand why our fans don't have a little more faith in the team and the board. They have given us a fantastic few years, so please support them.
Yankee,"cement ... coming through the soles of our shoes". Ha,those were the luxury days. I can remember standing on broken sleepers, and no cover on The North Bank. <whistle
I am hearing that Phiillip Cocu is now very high on huw's list of candidates for our managers position, an announcement could be made as early as wednesday.
my usual source, i sometimes get info from, he told me about pascoe, a good bit before it broke he was going, he knows one of the players,
did he tell you mabon that joe allen is putting in a transfer request to join liverpool and sinclair is pondering a move back to london somewhere,,,some exciting times ahead by the look of it with a manager needed asap.....
No 1... Sinclair we could replace - probably driven by his girlfriend. Allen would be a much tougher proposition.
Well one thing hasn't changed ... They're still using the same bloody tea bag they used 30 years ago. They just leave dirt in the bottom of the cup to make it look fresh.
Oh ffs. Perhaps you'd care to explain how Allen can go to Liverpool when they are contractually bound not to touch our players? Hysterical nonsense.
Sinclair and allen would bring another 15/17 million in so more funds for the new guy to make his mark
Since Rosie left Corrie ,Sinclair's form hasn't been the greatest, Swansea probably isn't the centre of the WAG world for her , but that's just my opinion
Joe would be hardest to replace. Sinclair hasn't set the PL on fire, so to me wouldn't be a great loss.
