..find the Jubilee stuff a wee bit cringeworthy? Not saying this because I'm Irish but I flicked it over to BBC there on a break in the Tennis to see thousands of people fawning over people who wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. It's on BBC all ****ing day too. Just as well I don't pay a TV licence.

I agree Ciaran. I'm not anti monarchy or anything but it's all a bit OTT for my liking.

I'm serious Dorty. Probably people on minimum wage out there tugging the forelock at people who actually live off the taxes from that minimum wage.

    It's embarrassing.

Worse still, my missus keeps threatening me that one way she'll be chosen for a garden party at Buck Palace and I'll have to go with her. I'd rather eat my own vomit.

People fawn over sportsmen all the time, and the majority of them don't care about the fans.

Might as well invade France while we are at it. All them boats with the Queen leading the charge.

How is that comparable? Do sportsmen live off every other ****s money? You can't opt out of funding the royals.

You can opt out of taxes. If you don't like them, you can always go somewhere else <ok>

I was in Salou, Spain last year when Willie got wed. There was a family from Belfast next to us, they had more bunting than you could shake a stick at. I'm not necessarily knocking them but everything in the North seems to be so black and white. Nationalist or Loyalist. And very strong beliefs either 'side'. It's completely different over here, which is far more healthy of course.

I get hacked off with a lot of that stuff Ciaran but whenever I question whether or not the Monarchy should still be there i think of the alternative - President Blair, President Thatcher - **** that <yikes>
