Pretty rubbish odds for top 10 finish when you consider i got 11/2 on promotion last year. Maybe they've learned their lesson?!
I think its not a bad price and the one that stands out to me most as an appealing bet! Yes I think the odds are short enough however they will drop even more with a few extra big signings coming in. I cant help and think about having a go at the Euro qualification at 16's though! I can dream can't I?
It's not a brilliant price when you look at some of the teams: Utd, City, Chelsea, Lpool, Arse, Spurs, Everton will all finish above us That leaves 13 other teams who could conveivably fill those spaces. Teams like Stoke who are already better than us and not afraid to spend money. Reading have a new owner, Villa are looking to spend, Fulham are always there or there abouts. Poor odds compared to last year! Not great odds at all. Not compared to last year.
Good point there however we were big odds for the start of last season and we came good I think its a very good price I will be lumping 200 hard earned ones on it!
16-1 on Europe seems decent. I doubt we'll get there on league position, but I fancy our chances of a cup run.
9/1 on top 10 finish is available at either Victor Chandler or Stan James Alex. Difference between the two quotes is basically that Skybet make it 22.22% likely we finish top ten, where these two make it only 10% likely. If you think it's more than 10% likely you should be having a small investment. The benchmark for the last 5 seasons the 10th placed team has had...... 11/12: 47pts, -7gd 10/11: 47pts, -11gd 09/10: 50pts, -14gd 08/09: 50pts, +8gd 07/08: 49pts, -8gd Personally, I make it about 14-15% likely (obviously dependant on who we sign and how much we look like we're willing to invest). IF my judgement is correct regards the likelihood, I'd have an expected profit of about 40-50% backing the 9/1, where it's be about -36% if I chose to back the same thing at 7/2. Trouble with anything like this however is it's a one off bet so it may be a good price but still not come in. In the long run however it basically makes the difference between winning and losing. Good luck if you do decide to follow me in mate. Lat
Get on it Fran!!! Whats a cheeky £20 out of your heating fund going to hurt? lol I am that confident I will refund you
9/1 was a good price, unfortunately it has now gone, and 11/2 is best available, still not a bad price, but i hate betting at a price when i know a bigger one has been available. On a side not,Victor Chandler have a great offer on Euro 2012. If Spain win ,you get your money back on any team to win outright. I am on Russia at 20/1,who look a decent side, and are so much better value than England at 12/1,France at 10/1,Italy 16/1 and Portugal 20/1.
