He's class in the DM role, and there are very few like him, plus he's got over 5 years left on his contract. You're going to have to pay between 25-30m for him. You sure you're gonna be willing to pay that?
Wouldn't want us to pay over £10 mill for him to be honest especially with players like Sahin rumored to be available for that price this summer, for £25-30 mill I would expect someone like Javi Martinez instead.
Good. We don't want to lose him, he's a pure beast, but that's why he'd cost so much. The only player in this league at the moment that is better at doing the CDM job is Yaya Toure. Tiote is used to this league, Martinez may not be able to cope with the pace and in the defensive roles that's when it hits you the most.
I don't think he's worth that much either but we can't just sell players for what they're worth, we need to hold on to our players or wait for a very silly bid to come in that we just can't turn down, and an amount that could be used to improve the team significantly. He's worth around 17/18m IMO, but I'd not accept less than 30m for him, and Mike Ashley plays hard ball when it comes to bids. Carroll's bids started at 20m, then 25m, then 30m, then 35m.
Tiote reminds me of Lass Diarra and hes rumored to be available for as little as £6mill this summer.
So this is how you took advantage of the buffoon When you refused a bid for 20million, the scouser buffoon thought "Hey, they refuse £20m. That confirms that the player must be worth more than that" and so he puts a higher bid at £25m. and when this is refused too, it confirms to KKK that the player must be worth at least that last bid and he puts in a higher bid still. Ashley should have resisted at £35m and the buffoon would have gone on to £50m .
Tiote is a destructive force, and damned good at it, but he has nothing else to his game, passing is poor. United need better.
