If this is true, what a rat! So much for him advising Siggy to sign for us. He knows that by publicly expressing his interest, he is going to influence Siggy. He probably already has had a quiet word in any event. I'm not taken in by his blarney and spin. He tells people what they want to hear then goes ahead and does what suits him; a real shark in my opinion. I can't tell you how much I want this character to fail miserably and get kicked out on his butt.

It's one of the reasons why I want us to get the best manager that we can afford. I want him to see that not only can we survive but we can actually thrive without him. I hope Huw and the Board feel the same way.

"While Rodgers fully respects Swansea’s wish to conclude a deal, he says he feels compelled to pursue a player whose career has flourished under his charge."...........I Was expecting this, and this is why I have very little time for Swans supporters that want to wish him well, He well knows that the club and Jenkins spent some considerable time and money going out to Germany to secure this deal, but the little bastard, has demonstrated what a deceitful self serving individual he is, no conscience whatsoever, as if Liverpool need Siggy! But there you go, he'll come unstuck Ivor only a matter of time, you watch him go for young Joe and Leon as well!...................<ok>

Good riddance to both IF this is true . Would be football's version of " Dumb & Dumber " if this is the way it unfolds . I would rather have a new manager with 14 million to choose his own transfers , than 7 million & a player from the previous manager , no matter the player . Buck is dropping in my books by the day , starting to slither a bit which has surprised me somewhat .

Siggy really gave you something extra and a little special and I am gutted for you fans that BR is now going to take him to scouseland.

Not the best news you are going to get this summer for certain. As with us, a summer followed by a season of turmoil could be waiting and if it does happen it isn't going to be nice! Once again we could find ourselves as brothers in arms, but for a different reason.

This is just speculation. It does not say Siggy will sign for Liverpool and that it's a done deal. I still think we may get him as he will play week in, week out for us ....not likely to be the case at Liverpool.

Why do any of you take any notice of A Causal Fan?

He's a blatant wummer who has been saluvating this last week.

He's a joke and should be ignored. Worse than Dai in my opinion - at least Dai's posts are earnest. Causal is just a wum.

Haven't read the article because I can't be arsed with any more of casual's speculation bollocks, but if he goes, he goes. C'est la vie. I'm sure our new man will come up with the goods. Maybe Rogers could even loan him back to us for a season. Either way, I won't be losing any sleep over anything that's just speculation

Speaks the ****ing oracle who thinks his team will always win. <doh>

Sure, it's disappointing if true but Siggy has always said that one of the main reasons he was going to come here was the fact that Rodgers was here. He's made that clear on numerous occasions. You're a young footballer and one of the biggest clubs in the world expresses an interest - what do you do? No brainer really.

I can't and won't wish Rodgers well in his new job but Siggy owes us nothing until pen is put to paper. If it has then Rodgers can't touch him, if it hasn't then he's not committed himself yet and can go wherever he likes.

It hurts, but that's the way it is. It's up to HJ and the Board to push the boat out now and get an exciting, young and hungry manager who has some of his own ideas on where we go from here. There will be no shortage of candidates.

I don`t give a toss whether he joins us or not. It`s been going on too long now for me to be bothered. The bit that gets me is that Huw went over to Germany with Brendan knowing he was off to Scouseland. Yes he could have been genuinely wanting us to get him, even though he was off, but I doubt it.

    Ready for incoming.

"Brendan knowing he was off to Scouseland"

Evidence? Looking at the chronology the deal for Rodgers happened well after the Germany trip.

I know there's some hysterical posts flying around because that always happens when we're hurting but you're way off on that one.

One thing's for certain, if Siggy signs for us knowing there's interest from Liverpool he'll be a Jack for life.

Sigurdsson is obviously stalling as he should have had a medical last week and if Rodgers hadn't left he would now be a Swansea player.

Either a) he's stalling so he can join Liverpool once Brendan has settled in

or b) he's waiting to see who Swansea appoint as the next manager

If he likes who we get and will be someone who continues to play the same way I think we may still be in with a chance. He likes it here and will be guaranteed a start everygame.

He may just want to follow Rodgers wherever he goes. Not sure which way it will go.

If this goes through Rodgers will go down even further in my estimation. Being a great man isn't purely based on your achievements, it's how you've behaved, and if he comes in for Sigurdsson he'll show himself to have no morals.
