    Is he on a wage over the wage budget? I'd imagine him to be on around £40,000 so shouldnt have to take a cut?

    In the same paper, Ameobi said he isn't missing any of the players that were on big money.

    Me mate works at the courts, and when he was up for speeding he had to file his papers, and he's on £20k p/w but that was his basic wage, dont include bonuses

    I used to work with Matty Pattison's lass and she reckoned he was on about 5k per week basic but he'd get an appearance bonus of 7k for playing for the first team.

    **** me, thought he would have been on at least £30,000 basic wage. Probably gets decent bonuses mind.

    Maybe it's in relation to the Barton quote that if Nolan signs; he will too.

    Probably right, Nolan will be much more easy to convince IMO and he needed a new contract sometime anyway. Kill two birds with one stone if Barton's quotes are true.

    I wonder if we could pull a similar trick with Jose? Get Colo and Jonas on new deals (we had to do it sometime) and convince him everyone is staying and we will spend money.
