This! They are appauling in the speed traps, could get embarressing for them in Canada. Qualifying could be really difficult.

Why are Red Bull allowed to keep their points from Monaco and Barcelona when they have been racing an illegal car? It is not like it is a grey area either that needed a ruling to clear up, the FIA have said that it is "implicit that fully enclosed holes may not be located in the bodywork just ahead of the rear wheels".
Yeah, it's an interesting point. Sauber raced an illegal car at Melbourne last season and lost the points, why shouldn't RB?
Because the FIA loves them. Simple as. They've been getting away with pretty much everything they've done in the last 3 years.
Another case of inconsistency. I doubt McLaren would be granted the same leniency. But on the other hand, I've about had my fill of retrospective punishment that changes the result... So I'm happy that the results stand. Really can't do with investing my time off work to watch a race where somebody else picks the result after the event. May as well televise a tombola instead.
It's because no appeal was made by the teams in a 2 hour period after the race. Although what I don't get is how they passed the car in Parc Ferme if later in the week they have deemed it illegal, that baffles me.
A bit fishy that Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren didnt protest within 2 hours after the race. I suspect that they were halfway through production of this floor and were looking to bolt it on for Canada.
They don't lose any points because the event is over. Maybe if someone had protested on Sunday they would have been disqualified. However it's disappointing that the FIA need other teams to points these things out.
So what was so different with McLaren and Valencia last year when they were running an illegal front wing but yet kept their points also hmmmm?
Well I may be wrong, but to my knowledge the reason it got banned was because of tv footage of it moving.
I think the rule in question was that it was meant to be a solid structure yet it only looked solid under inspection but not in action as a gap was appearing.
Then why did they not take the same proceedings on Red Bull and later Ferrari when in action their wings were scraping along the floor and clearly flexing.
Why should Red Bull be punished for the FIA changing their minds? They hadn't concealed anything, they were quite open about, the thing is in plain sight. What if several races down the line the FIA change their minds again and have to reinstate all the points they stripped from Red Bull? What if they wake up tomorrow and think "you know what, the double diffuser was illegal"? Or that Benetton were cheating in 1994 with their traction control system they "weren't using"?. They declared Red Bull's car legal in scrutineering for three events I believe, so the car was legal for those races. If the protests against Mercedes DRS had been successful they'd still have kept their points. As far as I know Sauber's rear wing didn't pass scrutineering, same with Toyota's the year before, that why they were disqualified from the sessions they ran it in.
While I agree that the FIA scrutineering has ****ed up by clearly not spotting something illegal on a car, the FIA however did not change their mind, it has always been illegal, they have not changed the rules or anything.
