That's my only gripe here, If Oxo was clean through in the 90th minute to win the euro's for England would I take it? Yes, However I would of still wished it was one of the other players from my way of thinkin that's all. Sorry for being a idiot and snapping at nothing anything.
It's hard for them though. If approached to talk the only other 2 options are: Don't talk - Press take no comment and splatter it all over the paper that something is going on or commitment is not there. Say they're not sure on staying - All over papers and upset club and fans from the off. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Alex is a good guy, always been pleasant when I've spoken to him and he even offered to get my shirt taken into the dressing room last game of the 10/11 season as a thanks for helping him out with something. From what I remember Alex never commented during the season, no matter how much his Dad did, he didn't. He always gave 100% for us and in the Summer he went quietly, no screaming ab-dabs or arguments in the press/striking etc. I think it was fairly clear that Adkins and Cortese had spoken to Alex in January and said that if he stayed to the Summer they'd negotiate should the bid arrive. He's not a bad egg really. I totally understand his situation and it's been vindicated.
That's quite a useful insight DTLW and one I didn't know I am converted again (kind of) ala Billy Sharp
Quick off topic question and one I hope I don't get banned for I don't know if this is the same if accessed from a pc I only use the app these days. But are the people who run this site completely uninterested and lazy? We have been promoted into the Premier League board but its not even in alphabetical order? Charlton are still in League One? Swindon are still in League Two?
I'm a little worried by our midfield - Gerrard and Parker are awesome, seems today we need someone else in there to help out more. It could also be a long tournament and the cover is slim, I'd like to see us try a new central midfielder around...now!
Phew! I was worried I would have to exercise the ignore list for a second. Opinions are like arses, everyone's entitled to one (something like that). But the fact that Alex was invited back down by the club for the player and staff end of season party shows you how they feel about the circumstances in which he left. I certainly don't blame him for leaving and we would all do exactly the same. In any case, you are at least going to have to get used to him as he will be an England regular for 10 years.
Did something similar happen last year? Seem to recall it took a few weeks to get the correct teams in order. Anyway, ssshh! I wasn't here right...
Roy, Roy! Give Henderson a chance, 1-0 is fine but our two central guys need a break, Belgium keep hogging the ball!
You're right of course, just that we should give that Henderson lad some match time and rest our key duo. Eight men behind the ball that last Belgium attack!
