The question now is will he take on Frankel over 10 furlongs?

No.

Frankel will go Queen Anne Stakes, Sussex Stakes, Juddmonte International and then either the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes or the Champion Stakes.

Camelot will probably not meet his elders until the Arc.

Totally different race, can't compare.

Interesting reaction. In a WFA Camelot would have been receiving 17lbs from SNA today and ran the 12f in 0.6 secs faster, a full second faster than standard. To me that confirms that he stays 12f well, especially as he wasn't particularly happy with the hill. He will be better on a flat track. SNA was sufficiently impressive to be immediately quoted 10/1 for the Arc. I don't know what 17lbs and 0.6 sec equates to (theoretically) but it ain't a short head. So that was good enough for me to believe he would give a good account of himself in the Arc. Just hope he goes for that and not the St Leger. I guess we won't be agreeing on that Nass but we can't all have the same view.

Never thought Id say this from up here in Scotland! But come on EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!

Joseph dropped his whip on SNA so that has to be factored in as well

Brill by Camelot.

He'll win the Leger if he keeps on this track and obviously if they can manage his season so he's fresh.

I'd imagine he could probably not stay and still win it such was the dominance today, in the 2000 and last season.

They can't run him in the Leger and Arc though surely and expect to win both unless they put him away now and use the Leger as his prep for the Arc. Now that sounds like a plan to me.

Anyway, still waiting on Ballycarney at 6.30. My 8's are looking good.

Now to watch the England game. It's my first for over three years but I think it will be a good one.

Very true ROTO. Forgot that but I'm not sure if it made much difference as I don't think he used the whip on Camelot. I could be wrong; haven't re-run it to check.

Back from work.

Camelot did it very well in the end and a very big well done to he and the Ballydoyle team on a Guineas & Derby double. I have to say though, it looked a seriously weak field in the end and whilst I won't judge until we see how the form stands up, I don't think it looked the strongest. But he was head and shoulders the best.

4 from 4 for Ballydoyle, 2 of them at very tasty odds.

Anyone else think Gerrard for Liverpool and England has become what Roy Keane was to United in his 30's I.e. a waste of space? Second to every ball, getting physically outmuscled and easy to play around. He's 'led' an unsuccessful team for 5 years at club level. Why would anyone want to replicate that at international level?

Agreed LG he's lost me more than he's won for me that's for sure but hopefully with age his judgment/timing will improve but cracking ride today for sure

I hope he doesn't go for the Arc, I've just lumped on SNA! I agree we may not have a great crop of 3 year olds but I think Camelot is a class above - and going to prove to be a tough horse to beat

That describes a good 5-10 United players ginger!

Danny's going nowhere. They'll come to an agreement. Probably less than he can earn elsewhere but the emotional ties to the club will do the trick.

I think Manu offered him £60k week which with bonuses will prob rise 20% not bad money for early career but if he went elsewhere I don't think he'd get much more even with signing on fee
