I will suggest 'Patientia est Virtus' for the following reason: When I went to my first Gills game in 1957, I could never have realised I would have to wait 43 years to see us reach the dizzy heights of Division Two (Championship ) I often said over the passing decades, if we could just have one year up there, then I would die happy. Having eventually got five years back to back, die happy? well now I will die laughing my ******** off! I just hope it's not another 43 before the next time. If so, PS will be pushing 100 and boring the Matron of his Nursing Home showing her plans of his proposed new stadium, and Hoadie Boy will have become Hoadie Old Boy! Anyway try and come up with a motto in Latin/ French or even 'Proppa Chat'em!' Good Luck.
I believe we will get back to the Championship, don't know why, but you just have to, I think we will be back there one day for a longer stay and maybe just maybe the Premiership, probably won't happen but you never know, happened to Blackpool, never thought they would get there or Hull but they did, but I think as long as we can get back to League 1 soon then we can build on it and build up the side for a few years in League 1 and get back to the Championship, you have to believe in the Gills. As I say Believe in the Gills and they will do it.
That's right Hoadie - but usually only between August & May. I did have quite a bit of messing about left in me a week or so ago ( had been saving it up for the play-offs )
WTF? and FFS? surely Anglo Saxon I suggest. I admit it would have been just smashing if you'd come up with one in Latin. But as my tough challenge produced nowt, I guess we will have to do without. Shame...... UTG!
Old Timer As you are in Cyprus ( lovely place - except for all the rubbish that is dumped at the side of the road, ) I assume that you are 'not glory hunting' - non palma venatio.
You are right as always Alwaysright. Cyprus, a nice island with lovely peeps. However, when the authorities attempted to introduce recycling in 2010 it came as quite a culture shock to the indigenous population! They do love their soccer though. Even every village has a walled stadium with a grandstand and floodlights. Lots of foreign players and coaches around,in particular from Eastern Europe. There was some striker out here from the UK known as 'Dicko', but I said I had never heard of him !
