Trust me when I tell you that odds on Camelot will get beat! Aiden Obrien is an old fox, get on ASTROLOGY! Front runner will run them into the ground and win! <ok>

I'm not a betting man Eddie, but after your Dog Derby prediction last week I wished I was. Is this a good time to start?

Yep agreed Rolling Stone, however Ryan Moore will kick on from Tattenham Corner and foil Aidens son of Glory! Astrology is a very usefull animal and at 8/1 is better value than 4/6, even each way is 2/1 for the place. Remember Camelot might not stay! and I can see Ryan poaching a big enough lead and hang on! <ok>

Good logic Eddie. But if Camelot doesn't stay then I think that Main Sequence will. So that's where my each way money will be going.

Worst Derby field in living memory.Trult appaling standard,Camelot may turn out to be a world beater but at 4/6 represents no value at all.If he doesn't stay i'm pretty sure that Bonfire will be on hand to win!

Thanks though Eddie, added a lot of interest to the race for me. I only really like racing when I'm at the course with a defined amount of cash in my pocket, but enjoyed this one.

Thanks Eddie, Astrolgy was certainly up there in the mix - so as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained, in for a penny in for a pound - 8/13 favourites are boring!

I actually went $7 for the win on Astrology @ 7-1 and $8 each way @7-1, so $23 wagered for a $22 return, so no big deal, especially after Blonde Snapper last week!

The Derby is one of the great London events; used to be that the East End would empty for the day as everyone headed for the Downs. Massive crowds, I used to go on a bus organized by a pub I was a regular at, the Alex in Wimbledon, we'd just eat, drink and gamble ourselves silly. Much better than Ascot in my view, and highly recommended if you haven't been.

Yes, I would certainly agree, as long as you keep everything in perspective and don't lose your shirt.

For the 4:50 at Epsom, at the post the commentator indicated that, although the horse lack recent form that he really liked the look of Fiery Lad so I put down a couple of bucks @ 10/1 for the win, so race was nice while I wait for the England vs. Belgium kick off.

Eddie, do you like anything for the 5:25 race to cap off the day?
