Got asked where I live why I dont have a flag,bunting,on car or house etc told them " I'm welsh " weird stare then asked " what difference does that make " replied " not my flag " the reply came " of course it is it represents Britain " politely explained it's the union flag no representation for Wales and that the one you have flying from your upstairs windows is upside down and it means you surrender or are in distress, neighbour walked away muttering while knuckles scraped on floor , really enjoy community work
The Union flag (should only called Union Jack when it's on the Jack staff of a ship) is made up by the Union of the Kingdoms of Scotland, England & Ireland. Wales is not on there because we are a Pricipality not a Kingdom.
