Second most in the Championship going into next season. Watford only beat us on posts because they have like three posters filling three megathreads with chatter; they only have a third as many threads started. Our closest competitors are Leicester, Cardiff and Bristol City who vary between 700-1,500 threads behind us. There are 485 members of the site who profess to supporting United, just under 3% of not606's entire member base. Which is about 40 more members than the scum have and 200 more than Chelsea. MOT
Yeah, you're such a "big" club. So why don't you play better football, or doesn't "better" mean that? Plonqueros.
"Begins with Ken and ends with Bates" Brillant -shows your class. Don't you ever feel bowed down with the enormous weight of your ignorance?
Yep, sod off TP. Not meaning to suck up at all, but a large chunk of the success we have had on the Leeds board is because of you Leeds18. Anyway, as you were saying, fantastic effort one and all, lets keep it going....
Aww shucks, thank you. It goes without saying that our current mods are continuing the good work, and we're still attracting new posters while we have a very active base on here, so it's looking good. We'll overtake Hull sooner or later. They have the manpower, but we've got the spirit. Edit: and the army of brainless WUMs like TerryPaine who are obsessed with coming on the boards of massive clubs like us to mask their jealousy. They tend to help with the post count too.
Yes, that would break my heart, as you can imagine. Just in case you're interested in an argument, as against baying mindlessly for your team, my point of view is the following: I hate posts that try to glorify football teams into "big clubs". I believe that any football club is only big or small in the minds of its supporters. The fact that a team is traditionally supported by 5,000 or 50,000 means nothing, it's just demographics. Real Madrid is not a "big" club, it's just a government-sponsored institution that it's quite safe to "support" and buy into cos it can always buy better players than other clubs. Moorhino wouldn't be there otherwise.
A lot of fans on the Leeds board cannot remember the good times as they were too young (or in Boabs case was too drunk). Leeds fans are very passionate about the club we love but have started to support Leeds when they were a 2nd or 3rd tier team. Nobody could acuse most of our fans of being glory hunters...
OK, good for you, but what other posters still resent is the awful peacock-like nature of Leeds supporters who seem to strut around bragging they're "better" than, say, Hartlepool or Yeovil. They're not. Their team is playing carp and that's all they should focus on. I hope they get back into the limelight soon.
What the ****! That is absolute bollocks. You seriously think the size of the club is only in the mind of its supporters? I'm a Leeds United fan and have been all my life but I know Real Madrid, Barcelona, Scum (hate to admit it), Liverpool (Still a big club) and the rest are big clubs.
Is that why you concentrate on WUMing our board? Because you're crap at it and you're focussing on getting better? Hate to tell you, but you're not getting better! You're still crap. D-.
People like you prove we are still in the lime light, why aren't you posting on the Hartlepool or Yeovil board if we're no better?
I dunno, because we are better than Hartlepool and Yeovil perhaps? There's nothing they have on us. We've got more trophies, more fans, better fans past and present, a better stadium, more fame, better players past and present, better managers past and present, we've played in Europe and been successful, we come from a bigger and better city. Sorry if that equates to 'strutting', but I'm hardly going to shy away from the truth when it's staring me in the face, am I? There's a reason so many people like yourself are infatuated with Leeds United.
