Yawn, so many people in here trying to wum.

FSG are fine. Rodgers is fine. Gerrard is fine. The squad are fine.

Bugger off and worry about your own clubs.

  2. These things grate me a little. Great that he is backing Rodgerd but also think what else was he going to say...???

You can't believe anything a player says when negotiations are ongoing.

If he said no comment there would be a feeding frenzy of mystics and body language readers 'translating' everything about it.

Rodgers rejected us outright and we went back again even though it looked like Martinez was a certainty. They definitely wanted Rodgers. Avb and Rafa were still available as well.

I reckon if Klopp said yes he'd be our manager. After that I think FSG got someone they really wanted.

I'm not trying to stir anything up. I genuinely want him to do well. The sooner LFC wipe the grins off the Cheshire 'manc' Cats swarming around here, the ****ing better!

And I've always behaved, just from the top of a very high horse!

Rodgers rejected being part of a greater selection as he didn't feel he'd get the job and didn't want to ruin his job at Swansea. When he heard he was the number one candidate, he was more than interested. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Martinez was always the plan B.

And you're right about Klopp. The board wanted Klopp > Rodgers, but he wasn't available from Dortmund.

But you are trying to stir **** up with loaded questions. You might consider it smart, I consider it annoying.

Asking whether or not Gerrard is undermining the new manager by being privvy to information is absurd. He's the captain, he's bound to have been asking questions to the board when virtually the entire management team have been sacked. The squad will want reassurance of their future and that of the club, he's effectly their spokesman. The board will obviously have spoken to him. He's not undermining the manager and there's no evidence that he will do.

Don't have one, but Norwich have quite a few of ex-County Players; Pilkington, Ruddy, Wilbraham, so I've enjoyed them doing so well.

I've no idea what Stevie said, but I'm fairly sure that stuff is ghosted. Can anyone see him using a phrase like "we shared a phone call last night"?

More like: "I havent spoken to him because i've been busy training for England and he's probably busy sorting out his contract and press conference. I'll be in touch I would of thought within the next few days".

Obviously this is PR. In "Epic Swindle" there are numerous references of the owners trying to force legitamacy by getting Gerrard to talk their designs.

Not a bad thing in this case.

I ave heard that too. The senior players were not happy with Kenny and I think that made his departure inevitable. There was the view that his thinking was too old fashioned and he was not modern enough.

I think Rodgers appointment is really promising. It gives us hope and that is priceless in football.

in the end this is just a player fending off the press hacks questions. all that can be said is that he did it well which shows he's learned to play the game over a long time.

I see nothing in it and only judge by ACTIONS on the pitch. I'm waiting to see what happens next

Gerrard was interviewed, said the right things. Who gives a **** about what people 'think' is between the lines. <ok>
