Liverpool fan in peace.. Just wanted to say that I think your club has been ****ing excellent throughout this whole Brendan Rogers process. Whelan didn't shut his mouth and spurted all kinds of crap in the media. I see he's started with you lot already. You guys were a hell of a lot more dignified throughout. I really hope you get a good replacement and good luck for next season. Cheers
Thanks for that ! I hope he does well for you, but I think he's going to crash and burn as he will not be given the latitude with you. Still it's just football we will move on from here, see you next season.
Hope you do well with Brendan. He's a top manager and you should be top of league i a few seasons. Hopefully we'll be up there as well.
Thanks for that. There have been some hysterical posts from the worse element of our fans but to me at least we owe the man a great deal for pulling together what had been already laid down by Martinez and Sousa. That said, and I don't want to sound as if there's sour grapes at work, but he was a twice failed manager before coming to us and your owners are taking a massive gamble. He'll be gone by January, but that's only a personal view and I'm ready to be proved wrong.
How was he a twice failed mate? am I missing something, but I thought it was only Reading that he failed - Watford he left after a successful period...
Cheers Cambell, I'm sure Rodgers will attempt to duplicate what we have here, but he's starting from scratch now at Liverpool, much as did Martinez at Wigan, the only problem I see is that you may well go backwards, before going forwards, and that will take some patience from the fans, will the kop give him the needed time? that's the big question..................
Yep, Skrtel will be making the most passes in the whole of Europe next season, guaranteed. And any Liverpool midfield player over 5'6" will be sold!
My view on Rodgers going to Liverpool quite clearly boils down to 2 statements, from which everyone can make the same inference. 1. History has always had a habit of repeating itself if no one learns from the mistakes. 2. After a fairly successful spell and pledging his dedication to the future at Watford, Rodgers left them to go to a 'bigger' club in Reading and tried to change the way they played...which resulted in him being fired after 6 months.
Ahh I think Rodgers will do fine, and after calming down and also realising that he won't be taking our players, I wish him all the best... Unless sig doesn't come to us.. Then he's dead to me again!!!
