I have been thinking about this for a while now. Who will be in Great Britain's Squad for the coming Olympics.... I thought Id pick a day when not much is going on our board...lol This is a real test of knowledge of the next generation. As i understand it you can have 2 players over 23 or something like that and the rest have to be younger.. Why dont we make a bit of a competition of it........(I feel this will be harmless, unlike my how many points will Liverpool get before the end of the season competition earlier this year....... Lets say...You get 10 points for picking correctly each over 23s player and 5 points for every other player....... Im not prepared to put a team down yet as i have to do some research......but i guess we are looking for a squad of 22...If any of thisis wrong feel free to correct me.... Anyone from any fanbase is more than welcome to join in as long as you behave yourself on our board, but seeing as this is all to do with the Olympics and not us, it should all go swimmingly........ Enter your squad of 22 and when the actual squad is released we will see who comes out on top....... Whoever does come top will be one ****ing knowledgable bastard i reckon
Ive put together my team 3 keepers, 7 defenders, 7 midfielders and 5 strikers: Goalkeepers: Ben Amos, Grant Adam and Jason Steele (Butland if he is allowed.) Defenders: danny Rose, martin kelly, Danny Wilson, Gareth bale, Ryan Mcgivern, Ashley richards and Craig Dawson Midfielders: josh mcEachern, jonjo Shelvey, Henri lansbury, Wilfried Zaha,David bekham, ryan Giggs, Aaron ramsey. Strikers: raheem Sterling, Conor wickham, Jordan rhodes, marvin Sordell and Nathan Delfounso..... Tried to get more Scot, welsh and Northern irish players in there, but couldnt at the expense of others.
With the picking skills of Van comennee and all that, it does indicate that anyone from planet earth has a decent chance of playing for great britain......Although i think both of them may needs some fake id.

Possible I suppose, but I'd be really surprised if those two don't start or feature. The non-PL player I'd take would be Patterson. What about that young Newcastle left back, forgotten his name?
