I'm not so sure you know, after all the nice comments and MOTD interviews and God like worship from the fans maybe it has gone to his head and he think he is too big for the club.

The name on the back of the shirt is NEVER bigger than the badge on the front.

He may not be a Norwich fan, but when he pulled that shirt on, he ran through brick walls for this club! I'm very disappointed he's getting abuse!

    Dave,

It is a lot to take in and he could have waited a few days for Lambertgate to blow over before laying it on us. It's like being knocked to the ground then being kicked in the face while your down.

Holt could of handled it better im afraid, especially doing it on twitter like that.

i think people are reacting badly because of the timing but i agree, he shouldn't be getting abuse. he couldn't have given anymore to the club than he gave. people have short memories.

Thats a good point kemp, and probably something that any fan of a football club should remember. Players and Managers come and go, but the club security should always be the foremost thing that matters.

I hear what you're saying, but if this is all about him getting a last big contract for his family, then he would think any delay could be fatal!

If he left it for a few weeks, he still would not be here at the start of next season, so the end result is the same, but this way, we have longer to look for a replacement!

What of the Villa job though for Lambert?

Not heard anything yet? Gone a bit quiet. I hope it's not all he thought I really do. Do you remember when there was this notion of a 7 year plan and at the end of it we would end up a stable premier league club and maybe pushing for Europe? I though Lambert liked the thought of that?

Your right supers, from an Ipswich fan i could see that holt gave everything when he was on the pitch for you guys, but seriously you must wonder why he chose to tweet that at that time. Even the thickest of the thick would know its a bad time for the fans what with lambert going, I really can't think why he could think it was a good idea to do it!

he's not the sharpest knife guru. you should see his spelling! i'm sure he didn't mean any harm - he would have been getting endless messages and he probably just thought 'let's get this out so people know'. i hope he has thought long and hard about what he is potentially giving up at norwich. it won't be the same anywhere else.

He's clearly desperate to leave and is only thinking about himself and his family.

Surely there is no way back for him in regards to the adulation of the fans after this? seems as though he is trying to engineer a move by being disruptive, don't know whether thats the right way or not in regards to how McNally will take it.

By the way, you say he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he knows how to win a free kick from nothing so he isn't that thick! <laugh>

Well if that is the case, surely McNally should say thanks a lot Grant if we get in the region of X amount we will let you go, just don't rock the boat at this time.

The wifes working tonight. I'm going to put the kids to bed open a few bottles of beer and may even open a bottle of Red, sit down in front of youtube and watch all the Lambert/Holt videos that are on there and have a damn good cry. Sod it, I might even listen to the radio Norfolk Season review from last season.

Then I'm going to go to bed and cry myself to sleep.

Theres no place like home, theres no place like home, theres no.....................etc..............

I keep thining that Jeremy Beadle is going to come out from somewhere or Lambert and Holt will come out and say that this all a big joke and they would never really leave and we all have a big laugh about it!

EVERYBODY knows, if somebody comes in with a decent offer - upwards of £5m - it will be accepted. McNally is just posturing just to get the maximum price.
