The guy not experience enough, 1 year as Celtic boss in a 2 team league as far as im concerned, & even then Rangers were docked points in order for Celtic to run away with the title.

He just come across as like Roeder very arrogance, i just think he would upset the dressing room with the way i think he is - just my opinion whether you agree or not.

I agree with everything that Tomatoehead has said Neil Lennon would be a bad appointment for Norwich and would take us backwards. He is arrogant, aggressive and too inexperienced to manage at English Premiership level. Compare Lambert and Lennon's managerial experience - Lambert managed Livingston, Wycombe and Colchester before Norwich. Lennon has only managed Celtic! Also, as mentioned by other posters Lennon has only been successful with a Celtic team where their major rivals Rangers went into Administration and got a 10 point deduction. He has had lots of money to spend and even with Rangers going out of both cups, he was unable to win them with Kilmarnock winning league cup and Hearts the Scottish Cup!

I think Norwich should say to Lambert thanks for getting us back to English Premiership and let him move to Aston Villa if he wants. It is now time for Norwich to make the next step forwards and with what we have achieved why not show ambition and go for a big name manager like a Benitez, Villa Boas or someone of that ilk.

Just to remind you super, you did say that there is no way Lambert will go to Villa, I don't see why successful partnerships can't be broken up. Why wouldn't he want the opportunity?

sorry, i don't follow. i never said there is no way lambert will go anywhere, but i certainly said i'd be amazed if he rolled up at villa. well, i am amazed if truth be known! so are you talking about culverhouse because if you are, the reason i say he is going to villa is because he is going to villa and i know absolutely 100% this <ok>

Another manager Norwich should seriously consider is Alan Curbishley. Fair enough he had a bad time managing at West Ham, but he did a great job at Charlton and Like Norwich are a good family club. Sometimes at bigger clubs you have players with large ego's and they don't respect managers like Curbishley, but at Norwich he wouldn't have that problem.

hmm, not for me. funny you mention ego, he has too big an ego, been out of the game a long while for a reason, not just to do with contract disputes either. so many better options than him, he'd be expensive too. stick him on the pile of 'no's' with bruce, lennon, benitez and villas boas

YES, Lennon would be an excellent fit for Norwich and would surely deliver my key objective of back to back relegations for the budgerigars.

Norwich in the past have a track record of appointing from within the club (e.g Dave Stringer, Mike Walker,), so maybe we should try to keep Culverhouse. As an ex-Norwich player maybe we can persuade him to stay on and keep the continuity going.

In reply to the original. Personally no. I'm not sure he fits into our style (family club) the same as many others might. He appears to have a short fuse but I understand he has had a lot of provocation. But he may well bring that baggage with him unfortunately.
If the board decided he was the man for us then you would have to back their judgement of course.

make no mistake, lennon would take us down. what does managing celtic prove? you're in a 2 team league - and even then he couldn't do it with style...i will be devastated if we did go for him...

suggestions of villas boas etc are embarrassing...we couldn't give them what they want, and i wouldnt want them anyway - remember we are a team made up of lower league british players - i doubt he would recognise a single member of our first team...

i usually hate it when assistant managers get the job full time, but in this instance i think culverhouse would be our best option...that said, some seem adamant he is off to villa - amd he probably is...but if he ever has any aspirations of being anything other than being a number 2, norwich at the moment would be the perfect place to do so...bit of cash, knows the players inside out, has their support, has ours...

i just had an interesting thought.

i don't believe anyone has mentioned him, probably because he's not really on the radar, but he is totally different.

experienced, a born winner, has managed in scotland and england, excellent working on a shoe-string budget, scottish.

    his name?

    walter smith

    any takers?

<laugh> i know, he's almost as old as you but he could potentially be a good stop-gap manager. he has stated he wants a job in england.
