Today, ladies and gentlemen, boys, girls and MrTiote...Today is a good day!

Today the sun is shining in Belfast!

Today food tastes better, drink goes down well and 'special' tobacco is as smooth to smoke as it's sticky to roll!

Today girls look fitter and DEFINITELY just gave you the eye!

Today...Today is the day I handed in my final core work for the Masters...I'm just one 15,000 word dissertation away from being Martin Lamb BA MA!

:emoticon-0159-music Woah black Martin BAMA Lamb :emoticon-0159-music

So...I thought, why not turn Today's Good Times, into a Good Times Thread...

It can be anything, Best day involving Newcastle, Weddings, Births, Days with the lads or even the day you finally achieved the perfect custom player ratings on FIFA (...cough...not looking at anyone in particularQ)

    Newcastle:

I'm going off-course a bit here and choosing the 1:0 win against Parlermo...I expected nowt but a hammering after they'd beaten AC 3:0 at the weekend and our squad was decimated by injuries, step forward Timothy Michael Krul...What a game, what an amazing feeling, what a result!

    Random Day:

Worked in Uganda over the summer distributing text books around schools, doing a little teaching and renovating a library...It was the last of 23 schools and it was made up mainly of orphans. We'd finished our work and were asked to follow the headmaster to the assembly hall. Got there and there was a choir singing, one of the most amazing things I'd seen, then I noticed one of the children looked a little different - he had Down's Syndrome but sang and danced as well as any of the other kids...One of those moments! Felt a mixture of pride in what I'd done and admiration for what others did...Rode home in the pick up with a massive smile on my face, sun shining, iPod on - amazing!

Right, your turn...Rep for each and every story!

So hard to choose a best day for Newcastle. There's been plenty of great ones but the problem is I get that wound up I don't always enjoy them. Even when we're hammering someone there's a part of me thinking 'we need one more goal to make this safe.'

But for time I got the biggest thrill I'm gonna go with....

    Newcastle:

    Newcastle 3-2 Luton Town

Its a bit fuzzy cos it was about 30 years ago and I was only about 10 or 11. It was a game in the old second division and as usual I was stood at the front of the west paddock. I know it was a back and forward game but can't remember if we fell behind or if they had just pegged us back. Anyway, with (in my memory) seconds to go it was still 2-2 when Imre Varadi let loose an absolutely stunning volley from miles out (it was probably a hit and hope from inside the box but don't spoil my memory). Within what seemed like only a few seconds the ref blew for full time and for the only time in my life I ran on the pitch and managed to get a pat on the head from Imre himself. I went home so pleased with myself and told my dad and got a clout for my troubles for running on the pitch. Still - the memory is there and I was well happy. No-one believed me in school but that might have been down to a few too many embellishments on my part.

    Random Day:

Gonna leave this one blank cos I'm an optimist and still waiting for that one perfect day :)

Newcastle - 3-1 vs Spurs a few seasons back. It was my first game at SJP, we went 2-0 up within 8mins (emre and Parker if memory serves). Huddlestone pulled one back after Defoe tried an overhead kick, missed but completely distracted Bramble and he was left with a tap in. Dyer got the third I think. Great day just for the fact of being at SJP for the first time. Second would be the Liverpool game this season (only my third SJP game, but I won't mention the second...)

Random Day - A random concert in a village square in France, but quite literally an amazing band. So funny to see about 50 frenchmen moshing as well...

    Newcastle:

1-0 win against Zulte Waregem, 2007. Roeder decided to give Luque a run out, that was fun. He showed touches of class but not at speeds above 2mph. We also got to see the legend that is Matty Pattison huffing and puffing up and down the wing, bless 'im. Anyway I digress, the reason I remember this game above more glamourous ones is that before the turnstiles opened, I was talking to this couple of Belgian fans. Giving the usual, talking about the stadium and the club, general banter. A bit closer to time the lad said he had to 'go get changed'. He was their keeper! Really canny fella and the lass he was with was immaculate, kinda pleased for him he only let one in. <ok>

    Random Day:

Lived in Bondi for a short while, I'd just wander around Sydney soaking in the sunny city atmosphere (cheaper than actually doing stuff). I was amazed by what a massive Korean population they have, even the Irish-themed market was full of Korean-run stalls, that was a bit misleading to say the least. Now the woman I remember from that day I remember is not the incredibly pretty Australian/Korean girl Stephanie who worked in the same office as I (the same girl I shyly said about 3 words to in my two-week stint) but a homeless woman sticks in my mind.

Everyone in the business sector of Sydney seemed REALLY grumpy, I never understood it. This woman, clearly homeless to the point she was in cliched rags and carrying a binbag started crossing the road very slowly. She looked probably in her 50s/60s and was certainly in no hurry. A motorist who had to stop as she crossed beeped her and gestured for her to hurry. Her response was glorious. She pulled down her pants, mooned him and then continued to dawdle across the road.

I burst out laughing, made eye-contact with a smart-looking business woman who was cleary trying to 'rise above' it and keep stoic but she cracked a smile too. Made my day! It's the only time I've ever seen a moon used as a display of annoyance rather than either from a schoolbus or a stag night.

Perfect Day Newcastle United, would be turning up expecting to get turned over by Man Utd and winning 3-0, oh and Ba's Strawberry Syrup comment.

Random Day, another yet to happen I'm afraid.

Perfect day was when the first 'were in the top 6' chant got an airing against the dippers. What a special moment.

Random day was when I was 13 and on a school trip to Paris. We were on a coach stopped at traffic lights and all the kids went to one side of the bus to look out of the window cos there was a chap in the drivers seat of a little car ****ing away with his pants down by his ankles. He finished off, then calmly put the car into gear and drove off. I'm guessing his stearing wheel was covered in jizz.
