Don't know about you, but am just really excited about our future.

I don't want us to be a $ity or Chav$ski and splash the cash for instant success in a revolving door system - I want a ground up re-haul of our system and for Rodgers and FSG to create a legacy to last for years to come. That makes success more sweet.

I want us playing great football even if it takes five years for success to start truly showing

I want the team to be greater than the sum of its parts with no reliance on one or two star players (like in the past) and I am looking forward to never ever again seeing hoofball - even if we lose matches I'm glad my eyes will be saved.

I want a management team without some draconian strict hierarchy but one with shared vision and input into what we're building and where delegated responsibility allows for swift business in scouting/transfers etc and where the stress of striving for constant success doesn't have to lie on just one one man's soldiers.

Finally I have always wanted us, and have now got, a young and enthusiastic manager with dreams and aspirations who is willing to stick with us for the long term and bring success to the team, not just himself.

EVERYTHING I've heard so far makes me think that this is what FSG and our management team wants too.

    YNWA.

    Nah Yanks Out!

Only joking - I agree. Very excited, looking forward to the next chapter at LFC. We needed a change.

I ****ing well hope so. there should be no assessment of rogers for at least 2 years tbh and given the complete overhaul in play style Rodgers will be overseeing and the minimal new investment then 7th next season will be perfectly acceptable in my eyes, as long as we look like we're making progress. Look at Wenger, 7 years no trophies! So we can hardly expect Rodgers to start winning from day 1

Understand. Plenty of false dawns and all that. Just feel this time is different and providing FSG and fans alike are patient feel we could really start to build something really special to deliver what the last 23 years hasn't

  9. Couldn't agree more but can't see FSG accepting seventh in a similar way to the season just gone, ie - not looking like CL challengers (post Christmas). Hopefully they will accept a challenge for a top four spot even if we did end up finishing seventh

IMO, we need to get back to having a manager in post to work on a five year plan like we used to. Obviously within reason though, you can't stick by a man who clearly takes us backwards.

I don't think last seasons finish was the entire reason they sacked Kenny. I think it was a combination of "wasted" signings to the tune of 100m (understand only 23m net), the Suarez "fiasco" and the fact KK was never "their" man to be honest but fans choice which FSG installed for stability and appeasement to fans. It would be truly shocking for FSG to expect BR to get top 4 in his first season especially when he's their hand picked choice and will in all probability be given a pretty frugal transfer kitty compared to competitors. Bar a relegation fight I can't see BR being sacked next season.

He might do if there is obvious progress. If we decline further then I doubt it.
I can't help it -with football I'm always optimistic (not a trait that I display towards other areas of life, generally)
I always expect us to win every game and every competition we go into. It leads to plenty of disappointment, especially these days, but I can't see the point in watching footie with a doom and gloom attitude.

  12. I guess this is where we find out what FSG are all about. Hodgson wasn't their man and Kenny was the fans choice, Rodgers is their man and they took their time researching and appointing him. This is now their reign, their structure and they way forward.

  13. I think that is the general consensus <ok>

BR must have discussed the goals for the season ahead and told them that top 4 is probably going to be out of reach. IMO our goal should be to have a real challenge for it, yes i'll be gutted come the end of the season if we finish 5th because we would have spent 38 games fighting and missing out, but we really have to be realistic if there is ever going to be progression.

He will get a couple of seasons minimum I reckon. He's their man - they will hopefully give him the resources and time required to at least show improvement and to demonstrate his long term strategy beginning to kick in.
