I think some of the reporting from SSN has been a bit poor. The first report I saw was the reporter basically stating that Malky is a former Norwich player and that he is a fans favorite there, fair enough, but he failed to mention he is currently contracted to Cardiff and signed a new contract not too long ago. Quite poor, in my opinion, and then it has just stirred a load of further rumours. Go on some fan forums and you see Norwich fans basically hailing Malky as their new manager, actually starting to frustrate me. Course he might go to Norwich, wouldn't blame him although I'd hope for loyalty off of him, but it is so frustrating listening to all the talk when currently Norwich haven't lost their manager.
I am not surprised there are rumours of MM being targeted by Norwich, I would even suggest it is the next logical step for Malky if Cardiff are not in the PL, which they currently are not but all the same I am not sure I would want him to come to Carrow Road at this time. As well as he has done at both Watford and your club I would say it is still too early for him, for us in the Premier League. Hopefully nothing will come from this speculation then you will be happy and so will I
I would prefer Chris Houghton or Gus Poyet but if we do end up with Lennon then we will see what he can do in the PL. I do have some doubts about his ability, seeing where he currently is and the lack of competition north of the border but still have to give the guy a chance.
In reality there are probably half a dozen or so (perhaps more) UK born managers that could do a decent job. Lets just wait for the official announcement that PL has signed a contract with Villa (for what that is worth ) and see who McNally brings in to replace him. Cannot comment further at this point in time
