Not sure about this. Cardiff knew they weren't going to be handed promotion on a plate, or at least not without a Summer of legal challenges anyway. It was always much more likely we were going to be stripped of the title but not automatic promotion, that was the only realistic option the petty FA had left.
There weren't message boards in those days, it's a new dimension in the way we look at the game now. They'll never replace local rivals for intensity anyway...

Yeah this. After the Swans' thing and the thread you mention that got pulled really quickly, I did have a glance at his back posts and I don't get it at all. Last night I put it down to wumming and just reading the recent stuff it does seem like the guy's hell-bent on causing as much offence as possible in the shortest available time. But none of the older posts fit in with this? I'm as perplexed as you. Maybe wumming's upped a notch? There were a few Canaries on here when things were really tough for us. Goldeneye, chippie, Dangerous Marsupial are three handles I remember well, kicking us when we were on the floor and all but down. But I stress a few. They're not representative of their board as a whole, just as StanBowlesNo10 is not representative of ours. Enough said well done when we survived and these are the ones I'll think of when I consider karma.
He'd basically had a meltdown on the Swans' board - the thread is still there I think (Chelsea in the title) - and got pretty much destroyed and the insults got more and more manic. Came back on here and there was a thread where Brix said something modlike (innocuous) and AFAIR was being quite placatory. Cue SBNo10 going seriously loopy again. The thread wasn't up for long.

I personally dont hate Norwich, though I do think that they are destined to be the kind of club who enjoys a year or two at the top before crashing out again....at least until they get really serious investments. Swansea on the other hand.....less keen....
Taarabt, Faurlin, Cisse, Diakite, Taiwo and a few others would walk into your team. Id keep quiet seeing as your best player is a fat, illiterate cheat who doesnt even want to be there.
