Now's not a time to gloat at the Swans or Norwich, however many of their WUMs have wound us up in the past. Now's the time to enjoy these moments of relative calm for our club, to look back and smile at the thought of Cisse's winner against Stoke and Jamie's last gasp effort against Liverpool. It could have been oh so different for us, so let's not gloat, but soak up some rays and come back all guns blazing ready to enjoy the new season. We are QPR say we are QPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're right of course, we could have so easily been in a different place right now. However I think the gloating season will run and run, no sign of abating for now.
Let's not gloat for too long though, afterall we are QPR another disaster can only be just around the corner!
After escaping relegation by a a point we have nothing whatsoever to gloat about. Neverthess, these are really wonderful times for us Norwich haters!
The relegation escape is in the past, we have a good owner, good manager, some great players, new training ground and a new stadium to follow. Things are only going to get better.
Well said that man......There but for the grace of god go I. I'd rather be basking in our success than wallowing in others misery
Let's gloat they gave us hell when everyone thought we were getting s points deduction that would've robbed us of promotion and last season they gloated as we struggled so I say **** them. Going down, going down, going down ( I hope)
Do you gloaters not feel that behaving like that will bring it full circle sooner or later and bring trouble to our door? Genuine question. Personally, I do.
What goes around comes around, for years our beloved club has been a basket case. I believe we've turned the corner and I have faith in our owners and management team. While we were going through the bad times we took alot of **** now it's our turn to dish it out. I know it can still go horribly wrong and then I'll have to take it all I over again but until that day I'm gonna enjoy dishing it out to those I think deserve it
I think the reaction is in relation to the wummers more than malice towards Norwich or Swansea. Personally I was delighted all three stayed up as it was a compliment to our team finishing top last season, the class of 10-11 were worthy. We have several regular visitors from both on our board and I enjoy the perspective they bring. We have had our traumas and come through the other side, they are about to have theirs and the managerial decisions made in the coming week or two will define whether their upward rise levels off or becomes a nosedive. I hope they both come through it as we are getting a decent rivalry going and that's no bad thing...
On a related note, Grant Holt was apparently laying into Swansea fans for them losing their manager yesterday, we all know what happened after that. Norwich deserve all they get after they were the only team whos fans were begging for us to get a deduction so they could be champs, even Cardiff fans said we deserved it. Swanseas manager is going to be Graeme Jones (who?) but I dont see many fans laughing at them.
Never Hated Norwich just Lambert hope he makes a right cock of himself. Used to be a rep for a firm in Swansea(Atlantic) and the people were a great laugh, really enjoyed nights out down there. They must be gutted, hope they get someone decent.
Spot on Flyer - in our promotion season - out of all of the top 5 teams below us only one was begging for us to get a points deduction - Norwich. That shows you what a lot of their fans are like. No doubt they have some decent fans like the guys who have been on here (battersea is one that springs to mind) but I honestly dislike everything to do with that club from delia, to some of their cheating players (holt, johnson), and a large number of their fans who couldnt wait to jump on the bandwagon in 2011. What goes around comes around as they say, and karma always comes back to bite you when you least expect it. This is that time. Im not gloating, just pointing out that for some of their fans (certainly not all of them - qpr have their fair share of idiots) - this is exactly what they deserve.
I'm not sure you can blame Norwich for wanting us to have a points deduction, they were the team with most to gain - ie the title - and were our positions reversed, are you really saying some of our fans wouldn't have been asking for a points deduction? Course they would. Having said all that, I remember saying after a particularly depressing game last season (probably the Barton vs Johnson breath test) when some yellowgreen meanies were crowing on here that what goes around comes around.... And so it has! How weird is it that the outcome of such brilliant first premiership seasons for the swans and canaries is so bitter sweet. Better to scrape through under the radar in 17th.
Think I'd rather have a decent rivalry with clubs a bit higher up the food chain. Gloating aside, they have done very well last season, have a chance to consolidate a bit. But do you seriously consider either of them as long termprem residents?
They didnt have the most to gain, the team in 3rd place did. It was most of their fans, I looked around the other message boards and was shocked at Cardiffs fans not wanting a points deduction for us.
I'm just saying we're linked by our coming up together so there has been a bit of spice added to our meetings and keeping a eye on each others performances. We've come off third best this season but perversely are in a far more optimistic position than either of them. There'll always be that bit of an edge to our meetings as a result of that link. As you say, we will be looking to even things up with some more established teams from now on but didn't do too badly claiming the scalps of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs and giving Man City two of the biggest scares they had all season...
