The team for years should have been built around Gerrard but he was constantly moved around to accommodate Lampard who is never able to raise his game as he doesn't have world-class players like Drogba, Essien and Makelele doing his donkey work for him. If I'm going to watch a **** England team I'd rather watch one he's not a part of.
Henderson has done nothing to prove he is anywhere near good enough to deserve a place in the squad in my opinion, I'd honestly rather see Beckham named as a central midfielder instead of him and he's been past his best for years now.

Devastated for Lampard. The worst thing is that England is basically the Liverpool team now with Hodgson in charge then Carroll, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing and Johnson.
What dirt have the liverpool players got on Hodgson ? Because the only one of there players that should be in the squad is gerrard; i think carroll is starting to hit some form and i do like that we've taken a risk on him but based on the season he had he really probably shouldnt have been picked and then downing henderson and johnson are all just ****ing ****
Johnson is a decent enough player. People **** themselves into a frenzy over Richards as if he's Cafu but he's not. A number of England managers and Mancini haven't fancied him so there's clearly something about him that we as fans don't see. Downing and Henderson are steady players who will put a shift in which is what Hodgson is after- a cohesive unit which might mean excluding some more talented players for the cause.

It seems only the MUFC boys are scoring of late. I know Young has scored 4 in his last 5. Anyone know for certain how many of the last goals have been MUFC?
