Was going down, could all change this year depending on what you pay your new players and whether any had clauses in contracts of a wage increase after so many games or a champions league win. Its possible.

I will also point out that your wage bill has decreased once. It may well of increased again. Will have to wait for the next set of figures. Make no mistake though, Hazards on Drogba/lampard/terry wages.

He is signing for you for 1 reason and its **** all to do with football drogs. Its his agents fee. The whole £6million fee to be exact.

His wages are also likely to be £170,000 a week. Reported by a pretty solid source as in the biggest sports paper in France. They are rarely often wrong. they did however report Hazard was set to sign for City and then United before he signed for Chelsea. Sounds strange but its possible and quite likely that they were not far wrong. Hazards choice was United. His agents was City. Chelsea were not involved at that time but after winning the Champions League they got in the mix, City told his agent no as they cant go spending insane amounts with FFP coming up and that left United as the forerunner. Chelsea agreed to pay the mad agents fee and the wages his agent wanted for Hazard so Chelsea got Hazard.

Money, nothing else but money. Hazards spoke today about coming to the PL makes him want to be like Ronaldo and Messi. Well both these players were made into the players they are today by the United and Barcelona coaches and management. The best coaches and management in the world. A level above Chelsea. Said before Drogs he wont realise his potential at Chelsea. You have so many almost players. Sturridge is looking like one, Robben never reached his potential heights with you. Cole never improved from his Arsenal days, he never got any better ( he was very very good at Arsenal ). Not saying these players failed but they could of been so much better.

However as I said before, this could all be part of Romans plan to bring a new era in at Chelsea, where young players are developed to their full potential and made into superstars. Maybe but I am not convinced as yet.

Drogba will remove a big chunk that will be replaced by Hazard. Marin will be on Kalou money and Hulk will be on much more than Boswinga.

Since Roman bought Chelsea, Chelsea spent an incredible £642,584,000 on buying players — and then a mindboggling £1,170,591,000 on paying them. That makes an eye-watering total of £1,813,175,000.

Another £65million last summer on top of that and £40million already this summer ( not including wages ).

    --------------------------------------------

This could be the biggest spend hes ever done in a window this summer aswell.

This year Anelka/Alex/Drogba/Kalou/Boswinga will all be of the wage bill!

Will Hazard + Marin really be on that much? that it will increase 35mil+ ontop of the players leaving?

Anelka and drogba are on like £13million a year between them and Hazard/marin will be on that between them aswell. Hulk will be on £150k easily so probably a small decrease as of now. The figures are from the start of last season so as you say those players will come off but added to it this year will be AVBs wages and his compensation, I have read you still pay him aswell? All your signings from this summer will be added on aswell.

It will roughly be the same for this year, the reason for the big increase last time will be Torres joining and it being the first full year his wages were paid.

The report from Deloitte also includes figures for the other clubs aswell as PL figures over all. I would thinks its pretty accurate. Maybe not exact but close enough.

Wages are not one off payments so will be counted.

Drogs, few people would doubt deloitte. they have you down as taking over Arsenal in revenue terms aswell.

Chelsea had a loss of 67.7mil last year

Add in £8.6m of depreciation, not relevant under FPP
Add in £41.9m of exceptionals as in theory these are non recurring.
Add in £10m?? for youth development (excluded under FPP).

Once you have added all of that you get a loss of 7.2mil

First two monitoring periods means we can ignore the wages of players who were signed before 2010.

This is not including all of the players who has let the wage bill since then..
