This situation reminds me of when I was young, waking up to open my Christmas advent calender but the chocolate was missing....leaving me feeling pretty p"£$£d off for the rest of the day. Just like when I open the not606 app on my phone and there being nothing new maybe a few o/t which to me are just the picture of a present behind where the choc should be.

I NEED NEWS!! <whistle> ...... I think my coffee may have been a tad strong this morning :/

Just saying - if I was a football chairman, if I sacked my manager I would already have a new one lined up ready to come in after a few days (after the dust has settled). Am I strange in that view?

Yes Mostyn, or at least I think that's a crazy statement. The Allams hadn't been plotting for months to sack Nick. Now he's gone, they are trying to recruit someone who they feel is the right person for the job like anyone recruiting would do, and not just grabbing the first person who was free and wanted to come. Not that I would have been bothered by Brownie, I just think we'll end up with a much better manager because they're taking their time and doing it properly.

or they don't know what the hell they are doing, they realising how stupid it was to sack Barmby on a knee jerk reaction, they have no plan whatsoever and have realised that they may not get someone good AND cheap.
I don't understand how you people can have such confidence in the allams when they know nothing about football and have no on telling them what to do. they want to be in charge of verything when really they should be taking a step back with the footballing decisions.

I'm amazed by how long this is taking. I don't think that is synonymous with good news. Sounds more like the original plan (davies or bruce) failed and now they're struggling to find someone.

    not
    Blackwell definitely good news.

"inundated with managers interested in the job" my arse. Again definitely commend the Allams on their PR slills

surely though any chairman should have scenarios in his mind for swansea's chairman if rodgers was to be attracted to a big club - what would we do and who would we fancy as next manager if we could get them as next manager. always have a plan b, c, d etc so at least you appear as a chairman to be in control.

Yes I've been to Bristol today and got back with a knackered exhaust.
Then had fish fingers, mashed potatoe and an interesting vegetable concoction for tea.
I might have a dump later - Will keep you informed.

I seem to recall when Leicester were looking to replace Sven, they wanted to pair up Keegan and Clark with Keggy Keegle 'upstairs' and Clark doing the coaching and day to day team stuff.

I think Keggy is feeling the urge to be in football again, so I'm calling it - Lee Clark with Keegan in a Director of football role.

    Lump on.

    IMHO

Or the Ex-England manager is Mclaren and he has told Ehab to fly to Portugal to interview the guy who replaced him at Manchester United... Carlos Queiroz. I've just made that up but it's probably as accurate as the other names who have been linked with us.
