Kinda agree with some of what Bill says. Those baby on board signs (plus other variations) in some way are putting the driver of that cars responsibility on to you. Yet by merely sticking one on the rear window, reducing visibility are they not neglecting their own responsibility to the safety of their own offspring and other road users? Don't get me started on those people with a toy shop on their parcel shelf! I own a car, Motorbike and bicycle and use them all regularly on the roads. Yet when I do I always try to consider and be aware of those around me. But there are so many idiots out there without any kind of awareness who have nearly killed me on several occasions. Unfortunately speed cameras don't catch these pratts so they continue on their merry way oblivious to the carnage in their mirrors. So what annoys you most about other drivers/riders? I'll start 1. If a man, woman, boy or girl cuts me up in my car i think stupid b*stards and cos i dont want damage to my car i will give way. If they cut me up whilst in my works van i will chase them, road rage them, overtake and brake and cut them up. Maybe i am being a stupid b*stard then but i let the tw*ts know about it. Worst offenders imo are these women who think they can drive Chelsea tractors. Effin useless.
In surveys most respondents claim to be good (or at least above average) drivers. Fair play to you Gil - at least you admit you're a bad and dangerous driver...
my gripe is women using the mobile why driving, yesterday one came through a red light and nearly had me, if i hadn't braked i could have been killed . and don't get me started on about motorways, 3 lane highway and the ****ers will sit in the middle lane, with no other person on the road doing 55. you have to take the 3 lanes to overtake then give them a dirty look before pulling back to the correct lane.
A few year back a woman pulled out of a junction in front of me. I slammed the breaks on while she leapt across the road mounted the opposite pavement all whilst holding her mobile phone to her left ear with her right hand. And the cherry on the cake was she was a cop in a panda car! Wonder if she wrote herself up for dangerous driving?
I know I am a good driver. No motoring convictions (speeding, crashes etc) at all in 30 years of driving. I keep my distances, respect learner drivers by being patient, obey the Highway code etc. I will admit to being a bad driver when these boy racers, people on mobiles, taxi drivers especially etc think they are kings of the road and do not keep to lanes, do not indicate, do not give way etc.
I no longer drive either cos I is an epileptic twat & the ****s took my license away. It's not law actually but twatting well should be. Inconsiderate car drivers get on my tits & if they don't indicate they should have their legs amputated via a circular saw. .
It'sa sad fact, but true nonetheless, that apart from me every other driver on the road is a twat. Get in my way something awful they do...
Motorcyclist clocked going 193 mph on NY highway ROSENDALE, N.Y. (AP) June 01 2012 -- Authorities say a 28-year-old man in upstate New York has been charged with driving his motorcycle at nearly 200 mph on a highway in the rain. State police say a trooper clocked Anthony Anderson of Poughkeepsie driving at 193 mph around 8 p.m. Wednesday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 87 just south of Albany - the same stretch of road where another motorcyclist was spotted doing 166 mph earlier this month. The trooper was able to get a description of the high-performance bike and alerted nearby patrols. Troopers eventually stopped Anderson in the town of Rosendale. He told them he was headed to a hospital to visit a patient. Anderson was issued 14 traffic tickets, including one for speeding. It couldn't be immediately determined if he had a lawyer.
