like what happened with Martinez last summer, it's possible. however, deep down in some ways i would like a new manager. it's painful at the moment, but it could be a good thing and might not disturb next season too much if done the right way. Anyone else sharing that feeling?
Max, I think if we handle a manager search/appointment right, there are exciting possibilities for the club going forward. Let's face it, we're not in bad nick, are we? If you're going to lose a manager, May's not a bad time for it to happen (even if it's nearly June )
agreed. i guess the point i was making was we all knew it was coming which has softened the blow somewhat
I think it will hurt you more if he persuades Culverhouse et al to leave with him into his brave new world. Perhaps it might be a great opportunity for Culverhouse to actually take the reigns and become manager. Its so often about continuity and he surely couldn't do a bad job!
thing is with you guys who say that you would take him back after speaking to Villa, Would you let your better halves go out for a night with the bloke across the road to see if she got on better with him then you and still take her back?
totally agree with this, he will obviously cherry pick anybody he wants to take, if McNally refuses or put a high price on their heads, they will just do the same as lambchop and dig their heels in. ILWT!
Surely potential new signings would be put off if he stays knowing he wants out as soon as a 'bigger' club need someone....
You think we'll just let any players leave for peanuts. If he wants any of our players, he'll have to pay over the odds for them. IJWL
Or have unhappy players who don't give a **** about the club, that goes totally against the ethos your club has worked towards for the last 3 years!
To be honest, it is very hard to imagine Lambert has a future at Carrow Road now, so your arguments are irrelevant anyway. But anyway thank God the Binners aren't obsessed with us!
The best bet would be for you to install Culverhouse as manager and get him to galvanise the team. He knows the players, he knows the strategy and a great deal can be said for continuity. Presumably he is extremely loyal to Norwich and will want to ensure that life goes on. A great opportunity could be his and you could well reep the rewards!
I blame the Hall of Fame Catastrophe!!! We shouldn't have put Lambert in the 'Hall of Fame'. You could see how ridiculous he felt about it. In his eyes he still felt this was a work in progress. By doing so it told him that his work here is done and that we are eternally grateful for all his services. We should have said, you will only go in the Hall of Fame when we are pushing for Europe every season and have are reaching semi-finals of cup competitions regularly!!!
Slow down, other than Holt we don't have any unhappy players I am aware of? You seem to be jumping the gun in predicting our rapid downfall!
I do agree with you, as I believe IC does a lot of the coaching and training sesions (though I think it is more likely that both he and GK he will go with PL). My hope is that it all gets resolved quite quickly and we get our new manager in quite soon so that he can start preparing for next season.
yet! if money has turned the heads of the 2 main people on the footballing side i.e.Lambert/Holt, then the others will then surely follow wanting a bigger slice of the pie. Its the natural instinct of the modern day footballer.
