lol i think it's coz they wouldn't let Villa talk to him...silly them! Meanwhile, MM's name keeps coming up as a possible replacement...boy oh boy! lol Popular ex-Watford managers this week, eh? let's hope they all leave the current one alone!
"Sky Sports understands Norwich City have enquired about Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay. The Canaries are keeping their managerial options open after confirming being in talks with another club, understood to be Aston Villa, over current incumbent Paul Lambert. The hugely successful Scottish tactician has offered his resignation, however, the Norfolk club have rejected this while talks take place. Managerless Villa are believed to be leading the chase for the Norwich boss and the Carrow Road hierarchy are mulling over possible replacements. Former Watford tactician Mackay replaced Dave Jones at Cardiff last summer and guided the south Wales club to sixth in the Championship table. The Bluebirds missed out on a place in the Championship play-off final after being eliminated at the semi-final stage by eventual winners West Ham. Mackay committed his future to the Cardiff City Stadium side in February after signing a new three-and-a-half year contract."
Ãsland - Frakkland 43:0 The Ãsland rugby team played a friendly international rugby match against France on monday 28. may. They won. I admit the French team was made of crew from BEM Monge but rugby does not have a big following here.
So, it's official. Kuszczak is released by Man U...not that it will make a difference to us i'm sure, but we can remain hopefully til we know where he goes!
That sounds like a group of French people who assumed that because of their nationality they would automatically win. Much like overweight English people who think they are good enough to play for the likes of Andorra, Liechtenstein etc. In 2006 people were even saying the same thing about Trinidad and Tobago, a team that could easily have drawn with us in the World Cup.
No real surprise that Lambert is joining Villa. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18307066 Will the MM to Norwich rumour come off I wonder?
Despite all that was said, Cardiff are going to be re-branded. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-18337392
Plenty going on today after the news black out. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...o-replace-Aston-Villa-bound-Paul-Lambert.html Nothing much on the most important team yet.
Well at least its a step away from Watford FC. I would not have been surprised if there was a link there.
i'd feel sorry for them..but it's Cardiff. That said, i'd be gutted if it happened to us...money or no!
At the moment, the only pro sports club with the Cardiff name that wears red is the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Club and I believe that as they're the only Elite League team in Wales, there was an agreement between all 3 teams (the other being Cardiff Blues RFC) that it would stay that way. I'd like to see Cardiff City's Malaysian owners argue this one with the Devils Operating Officers (there isn't a defined owner), some of whom used to play for the Devils!
Our results over the last four years have actually been very good, ignoring the World Cup (and only 8 teams did better than us in the World Cup). Surely Ãsland will soon climb into the top 100 with players like Sigurðsson, Sigþórsson and Gunnarsson?
I was at the Uni of Glamorgan in Pontypridd and used to go to watch the Devils regularly (WFC hardly had any away games nearby while I was there. Also tickets for students were reduced) and it was at that time it was mentioned but that was between 91 and 96, so the agreement may have just been in place between all the owners of that time.
